Epic Rock Star!

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a new challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog!  This week is Nikki's choice - two or more patterned papers.  I love this one!

This week we have a fabulous sponsor - Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  On behalf of the design team, I would like to thank Bugaboo for giving us fabulous images to use.  I got to pick mine and I knew exacally what I would use with him.  And I've been wanting to break out my Cas-ual Fridays stamps for a while now, so this one was a perfect opportunity.    And yes, I lined up all my arrows in a row by 3's and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be.  I did a little practise strip with a scrap of paper and then I went ahead and did the inside of the card.  I love it.  This set is a lot of fun to use.   Almost all of the words in the set come out of my two little guys mouth, so I am definetly going to use this set a lot, especially for scrapbooking. My guitar pick is from the Rock and Roll Die-Namics and I cut it out of designer paper and then added Glossy accents to it.

I hope eveyone is having a great week!  Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps Store and check out the New Items!!!

Thanks for checking in on us.

No Fun

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Monday!  I hope you are all doing well.  The kids survived the first week of school, and are off to start their second week!  Before I shove off to work, I  wanted to show you some inspiration.

Sorry about the background on the picture, I have a new-to-me computer and the printer that holds my camera card, isn't hooked up yet.  But actually I am thinking this camera on my IPhone takes better pictures than my camera does anyway, lol.

I just love the New Birdie Brown Series!  This was so much fun to color.  I decided to keep it clean and simple just to show her off.  The stamp set comes with a few sentiments, like the one shown here.  Again I used the dies for the cut out and then just stamped her on and colored her.  Easy Peasy.

Don't forget we have a Wings Challenge going on right now and tomorrow we start a brand New Challenge!

Thanks for checking in on us,

Holly

You deserve a break ....

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Welcome to a new Holly-Day Monday.  Today I want to inspire you with some My Favorite Things stamps and dies, I know, big surprise there, lol.

Oh I love these office supplies.  I had to crack up when I made a paper, paper clip, lol.   There are so many more things I can do with this set and I have been thinking about some scrapbooking I could use them with as well.  Such fun!  I love all the toys and especially love that I can accent with the dies.

I will see you again next week, until then, keep looking at the NEW ITEMS tab at the Loves Rubberstamps Store!  There is a new MFT release and it will be coming to the store soon.   You also have one more day to play in our current challenge - Out of Season.  And there is a New Challenge tomorrow!  Yeah.

Out of Season Challenge

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a New Challenge at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog - Out of Season.  Which means we want to see an out of season card or project, (does not include Halloween or Thanksgiving).  I think I could have a Christmas or Valentines with this one.

There is only 20 more Fridays before Christmas!!! YIKES.  Time to get started on those cards early.  I'm also starting my Christmas shopping early this year.  Not a lot but a few things I have found along the way.  And there are a few more things I've seen the boys go crazy for in my memory bank for next payday.   Over the years I have done both, waited til the last minute and shopped early.  I enjoy the season much more when I shop early.  Not that I have it all done by then, but it's much less of a chore then.  I tend to enjoy the Holly-Days more and I have money to enjoy the other seasonal activities then, lol.

This card came together pretty fast.  I simply used my Blueprints one to do all the work for the card design and then I colored my snowman with C0 and C1, along with C3, C5, C7 and my heart with R24, R27, R29, the little scarf was colored with R83, R81.  I added some candy dots and Viola, all done.  I hope you like it.

We are gearing up for back to school next week and the boys are both excited and both trying to squeeze in some last minute summer fun, lol.

I hope to see your fabulous creations!  Be sure to check out the NEW ITEMS that Laura is adding to the store, I'm so excited!!!!

Every Day is a Picnic

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a Happy Holly-Day Monday and thankfully I am off work today. In fact, it's my last day off during the week with the boys for the summer. They go back to school next week! Wow. Summer happened fast around here. I am really happy we took that trip to Disneyland and that we got a chance to get to the beach a couple times. It's always great when you are a kid and you can remember all the fun stuff you got to do over the summer.

So for one week, Every Day is a Picnic...

Oh I love this cute little gal and I am so happy I bought the dies to match. Not fussy cutting saves a lot of time, but having an even white outer layer also makes this look cleaner and while it's not totally obvious, it's nice to have a white layer between her and the designer paper. She was a lot of fun to color up with my Copic Markers and I can see myself using this set quite a few more times because the stamp set and die set come with so many different options and sayings.

Here's to everyone have a fabulous week! I hope you have had a chance to play in our Challenge this week, if not, you have the rest of the day! Also, there is a brand new Challenge tomorrow! And don't forget to check out the NEW ITEMS, Laura likes to sneak them in, here and there.

Anything Goes with a Twist - Happy Trails

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a new challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.  I decided to play along with team B's biweekly challenge this time because it's Anything Goes with a Twist.  The Twist is stripes.   In honor of Lydia's week, I decided I want to break out my Lawn Fawn Stamp set.

I love these new Lawn Fawn sets Laura has added to the store!  There is even matching dies to go with some of the sets!!!   I do not have the matching die to the Happy Trails.....yet, lol.   I don't mind fussy cutting but the matching dies are super cool!  Just cut out the die shape, place a dark scrap paper underneath and then line up the stamp on the die cut.  It is really super easy.  Especially if you can see through your acrylic block.

In this case I decided not to use the tree stamp that comes with this set and instead I used my My Favorite things Die-namics.   One of the great things about designing for Laura is I am able to mix and max just about everything because she carries so many fabulous brands and items in her Loves Rubberstamps Store.

I cannot wait to see all your Anything Goes and if you decide to twist along with us.  My stripes are diagonal stripes in the blue background.

Thanks for checking in on me,

Sunflower Sweetheart

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a new Holly-Day Monday and I am here to show you some stampy inspiration today.

Oh My Gosh I love this stamp set and I plan to use it again and again. I went ahead and bought the matchy dies to go with. Now normally I do not mind fussy cutting, but I liked the dies that went with it and had some 3D in mind when I bought them. I did not pop anything up here, but I did decide to go ahead and use the dies.....LOVE!!! I cut out using the dies first. Then I applied my stamp on an acrylic block and put a scrap piece of black under the cut out on the foam pad that I stamp on, so I could see the outline better.....JEEZ, so much easier to see right where to stamp.

I'm also still crazy about the Candi Dots. I used Icing, (white) and colored with my E09 Copic Marker. I didn't have to scramble around looking for that perfect colored brad, I just had to color my Candi Dot the perfect color. I like them because they still leave shimmer even though I colored them.

As you can tell, I am so ready for fall! It's been 107 here for a while and everytime we go out of the house to do anything, it seems to suck the life out of us, lol. I went into the stashy hoarded stuff and pulled out this paper pad. I knew it would be perfect for her.

Have you seen all the wonderful yummy NEW ITEMS that Laura has added to the Loves Rubberstamps Store? I went shopping TWICE!!!! She might have to kick me off the team just to have stuff left for her customers, lol.

I also want to remind you that you have today to finish up your Challenge Projects for the current Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - buttons and bows. We start a New Challenge tomorrow, so you definetly do not want to miss out on that either. Oh and you still have all week to Blog Hop on our Sunday Sensational Blog Hop. We pick a name for the monthly drawing each week and then a winner each month. We just picked a winner yesterday and Heidi won a store voucher for $20.00!!! That would pay for the Sunflower Sweetheart stamp set with some money to spare!

I hope you all have a great week!

Holly
