Watching Me!

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Time for a New Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog!  Halloween Theme!  Yes, just in time for this weeks festivities!  Show bring out your best witches and ghouls for a chance to win a fabulous prize!

I love this new La La Land Cauldron Witch!  And I cannot get enough of this new Doodlebug Design Halloween Paper!  You NEED to pick some of this up from the store to make some little chip board books, or the 12X12 for scrapbooking!  I picked up the sparkly gems from Hobby Lobby that just opened up here in town...OMGOsh I am in so much trouble now!  lol.

My Mother was so upset with me for not signing my own cards, lol.  As if!  I decided to get a stamp made for the back of my cards though, just to make her happy.

So what do you think?

I used a sketch that has expired by I loved it and it inspired me from Sketch Saturday.

You will want to stop by the NEW ITEMS again this week!!!!  I love all the fabulous new stamps, paper and ribbon!

Now onto some good news for a change:  We had parent teacher conferences this past week.  Our 10 year old son is on Honor Roll and our Grandson, 7, is making huge progress this year!  He was labeled a behavior problem child last year and he got an "A" in conduct!  Whoo Hoo !!!  All those hours and hours and hours of homework and working with him have paid off!  That is the fuel we needed to keep going!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

M&M Treat Holders

Hi Fiends and Stampers, lol.

It's another Happy Holly-Day Friday!  And my turn to post on the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.  This week our Challenge is Trick or Treat.  So tricky cards or Treat Holders.   I always say I do not like 3D items but then I really get into it and keep my eyes peeled for potential alterables long after the challenge is over, lol.   These are little glass jars filled with M&M's the color of Fall and also there are some Candy Corn M&M's mixed in there too along with some Peanut Butter M&M's.  OMGosh who are these GENIUS flavor makers?  I hate to tell you but they are so yummy, I had to get extra bags!!!  And I'm not even suppose to be eating these, lol.

Here are the four in the set.  This is a picture of all the backsides.

Isn't this the cutest paper? I just Love it!  I had to have it! lol.   It was very sweet of Laura to listen to my request and get some in ASAP!  I got it in the mail yesterday and couldn't wait to use it right away.

Okay, here is the Front Side.  And it's so busy I thought showing all four front sides might be over whelming, lol.  I added a tag and banner top from MFT Die-Namics  Blueprints 8 to the curly ribbon.  I added a face to the tag because I am childish like that, lol.  The other tag I stamped "Boo" on.

I had a lot of fun making these today.  I am planning on giving them to the boys teachers.  They need a little treat for all the tricks they do getting them to learn, lol.

Laura has been adding so much to the store, I have anxiety that there is something I will forget to order along the budget way, lol.  Take a look at the NEW ITEMS!

You will also want to watch for Indah's Video Tutorial tomorrow on Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.  I already make the treat holder for the challenge, but there are more I need to make!  Can't wait to see what she up her sleeve for tomorrow.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

Trick or Treat

Trick Or Treat Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a New Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.  TRICK OR TREAT and our Sponsor is Eureka Stamps.  You can, TRICK = Create a Moving Card or some element of your card that is moveable - Viewmaster Card, Slider Cards, Decoder Cards, Never Ending Cards, The little action wobblers, etc. OR TREAT = Make a Halloween Treat Holder.  I know it seems like I cop out but I chose the treat holder, lol.

Actually, I have been wanting to make this every since I saw Indah's video tutorial!   Here is the LINK to the tutorial.  When I was watching this video, I was like, "Look at how big their money is!"  Then I was thinking, "That's about the size of a Hershey Bar!"  Hershey Bars mean a lot to me.  They represent Love and Friendship.  When I was little, I would share my squares of Hershey's with my friends.  When the love of my life and I drove across country in a U-Haul, moving him to California, every time we stopped for gas, I got us a Hershey Bar to share.  When we got married, we had special Hershey Bars made that had our names on it for guest gifts.  My youngest son has had the same girlfriend in school for a few years now, so I decided it was time for him to share a Hershey Bar with her, lol.  OMG she is so cute, I could just squench her!

One of the challenge entree's used this paper, here is Vivi's card.  She linked the digi paper and let her readers know this was a Freebie!  Yes it is!  Over at Shery K Designs.     I took one look at this paper and knew I wanted to use my Witchypoo, LOVE this cute Kraftin Kimmie stamp.  I colored her up with my Copic Markers on X-Press It paper after inking her up with my Memento Black Ink.  I then went on a search and hunt for my Cloud Stax Die-Namics..... Where could they be?  Not with the others!  And in the end, I only found one????  I may need to replace these if I can't find them soon.  I sponged up the cloud with Memento Grey Flanel Ink.  On Indah's video tutorial, she discussed making one section longer for border die cuts or punches, so I decided to go ahead and try it out.  Indah as a new Video Tutorial each Saturday and she has some wonderful tips and ideas, so you want to be sure to catch those!

Thanks for checking in and I hope to see your Tricks or your Treats in our Challenge soon!

Holly

P.S. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but have you checked out the NEW ITEMS in Laura's store this week?  She keeps adding tons and tons of total cuteness!  I am so broke all the way through this year with things I NEED to get! lol.

Rock Star

Hi Friends and Stampers!

Happy Holly - Day Friday! It's my day to post over at the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog. Whooo Hoooo it's the weekend! What are your plans for the weekend? Whatever it is, I hope you have a Rock Star weekend!

I love this stamp and die set, and I have many more plans for it! My husband likes those video games with guitar hero and I have plenty of pics of those times to scrap, lol. Same with my son. I used the Distressed backgrounds block and inked it up with Grey Flannel and then stamped it off once before stamping on the blue paper. I inked up the Rock Star in Tangelo Ink. I had a silver pen from somewhere, and colored in the embosses areas of the guitar to add some dimension. I love this doodlebug paper, boys only, and it's so perfect to use with this image. What's more, I remembered I had it! lol.

Now I have to be a rock star this weekend and work, but I tell you, I have had the best day today that it makes up for it. I'm still in my Jammies and I've had the oldies music cranking and I've just made cards and drank coffee, lol. I feel so spoiled but I love being relaxed and having mojo all at the same time.

So while I am working, I hope you will get inky and join us for our current challenge-Fall Leaves or Pumpkins! You will also want to see the NEW ITEMS that Laura has been busy adding to the store!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Just Say No!

QKR - Just Say No

Hello Friends and Stampers,

Welcome to a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge week!  This week, we want to see your Pumpkins or your Leaves.  In addition to the LRS store voucher prize, we have two sponsors this week.  The Design Team would like to Thank CC Designs and QKR Stampede:

Today I have used images provided from both our Sponsors. The Monkey Feet Turkey and the "Just Say No" from QKR Stampede.  I had this little picket sign stamp and I knew I wanted to use this with this image, I was so happy that I was able to go right to where it was, lol.  That should tell you I am in dire need to get rid of some stamps, but OMGosh I Heart them all and cannot bring myself to purge too many.  I did see the ISO section on Splitcoast and there was a gal wanting a stamp set I bought from CTMH last year and reluctantly I did sell it.  I had never inked it up! lol.  So selling them to someone desperately seeking them seems to be the answer, lol.  But Oh, it is so hard to get to the post office.  I hate mailing packages!  So it has to be for a good cause, like Christmas, or Birthdays, lol.

You will want to look at the NEW ITEMS in the store this week! Laura has not only added all the Monkey Feet Designs, she has also added the Rascals and I have been so in love with these every since I first saw them!

I am just getting around to commenting on some of my great friends who faithfully comment on my cards.  Geez!  I am so sorry!  This working every other weekend gig, has seriously messed with my commenting system.  So I have fallen behind and for that I want to say sorry.  I do love each and everyone of your perspectives on crafting and I love seeing what you are doing.  I think it's the every other weekend and also the football season, lol.   So bare with me!

Wow, I had a productive weekend.  I actually cleaned my room!!!  lol.  I know this seems like it should be a 5 minute ordeal, but it literally took me all day Saturday.  Our room is the happy dumping grounds.  I will bypass our room to clean the kitchen, clean the bathrooms and then call it good.  Or I will spend extra time cleaning around my craft space when things are caving in on me, so our room is the most neglected room in the house and it was just time.  I moved all the furniture over so I could move the Calif King Bed and vacuum under it, first one way and then the other.  There is now nothing behind the dressers, lol.  The ten thousand items on the dressers and the desk have been narrowed down to a thousand and those are now dust free, lol.  Oh and now I am so sore, but I feel like I got a lot accomplished.  Yeah!   So that is my other excuse for falling behind, lol.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments,

Holly

Too late to enter but I really thought this sketch was perfect for my images.

Oh Let The Sunshine In.....

Sing it with me......Greet it with a Grin, open up your heart and let the sunshine in.....

I love taking pictures in the natural sunlight.  I can pick up so many details that the artificial light source does not.

Today I am subbing for Laura over at the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog, and our DT member was not able to make a card for today.  Now Laura and I have both sworn we were going to make extra projects for such an occasion, but you know, pie crust promises are easily made and easily broken.   So I decided to share a few of the wonderful cards Laura has sent me, with some thank you gifts that she just does not NEED to do, but does anyway for subbing for her on the rare occasion when she falls asleep or life happens, lol.   Honestly I do not know how she does it, she works two jobs, runs her household, makes cards and cute projects and runs an on line store.  Geez!  So all the listing, packing, emailing, etc, that's all on her.  The least I can do is help her out with the blogs and a few questions here and there from the design team.

But she really does find time to make the most fabulous cards.  She is so talented and her coloring and designs are fabulous, you will see what I mean....

When Laura sent me this one, I was so excited, I just loved it when she put it up on her blog!

I love these daisies and they shimmer just so slightly in the sunshine, the scored background with the pearls is so fabulous and the sponging and colors are so beautiful. I love this!

Then she sent me this one for my birthday with a whole bunch of goodies!
Look at this beautifully colored card. OMGosh I love this one. The coloring is so fabulous and I love how she made the bubbles around the Mermaid and the fabulous shimmer to the flourishes and leaves. This is definitely a Wow card and the inside is beautiful too.

I didn't want to fold it all the way over because I didn't want to mess up the framing, but this inside is just as fabulous and I love the little starfish.

Your going to squeal at this country charmer:

Check out this little cutie and the fabulous coloring and design. This is one of my favorite papers and I love how she placed the doily behind the framing and the fabulous colors and design. The ribbon treatment just makes it all pop and flower so nicely.

All of the images here can be found in the store.....

OH and you do want to check out the NEW ITEMS in the store!!! She worked so hard last night getting them in, just for us!!!

Now if you love these adorable and beautiful cards as much I do, head on over to the Inspiration Blog and leave a comment!

A sign of Thanks

Happy Holly-Day Friday, It's my turn to post over at the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog!!!

TGIF! and I am OFF this weekend!  Whoopee!  What's more, my guys are all going camping over night on Saturday.  So it's boot them out the door by noon and I got the whole day and night to myself.  We're talking staying in my pj's, running around to surface clean and then I'm so blog hopping and making my Tuesday card!  lol.

Special shout-out to my Sister, it's her Happy Birthday today.  My Sister is so wonderful.  She doesn't like to admit it, but she is the older one, lol.   She is a chef who can cook up anything you want with your eyes rolling in the back of your head and mouth begging for more.  She is also brilliant, she has one of those memories and she can remember all the way back to when we were very little.  She has a great smile and beautiful blue/green eyes.  I love hanging with my Sister, we can talk for hours and hours and hours.  Unfortunately, we do not get the chance to do that very often, but when we do, we make up for lost time, lol.

I came home from work last night and guess what?  My Grandson Reed has added to the hole in his head, he lost his other front tooth! lol.  He is absolutely my Jack-O-Lantern this year and all he wants for Christmas is his two front teeth!  He is doing so well in making progress in School.  We have to be tough on the little guy sometimes to keep him focused on his homework and catching up on what he did not learn last year, but over all he is gaining so much knowledge in such a rapid pace and he is a trouper.  It's so hard to be the parent to your Grandchild.  All I want to do is give him his way, but I know that is not good for him.  So I struggle with it.

My what a chatty post, lol.  You came here to see the card.  I love this cute little PI called, "It's a sign" and she comes with so many little things you can put in the sign.  I tried my hand at the chalkboard look and over all I like the results, but I know it needs flowers, lol.  I need to send this through the mail though, so I kept is pretty clean.  I love this Vertical Frame die!  I think you we be seeing more of these soon, lol.  I also love this beautiful paper.

Speaking of cute paper and MFT items, youc an see that latest release in the NEW ITEMS of the store now.  Don't forget about our current Challenge - Polka Dots! We have a great store voucher prize and a wonderful Sponsor - Birdie Brown!   Also, there is still time to comments on our Sunday Blog hop for a chance to win a great prize!  And you will want to return to the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog tomorrow for our Saturday Video Tutorials.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

Hello Baby

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Friday!  It's my turn to post over at the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.  I hope you are all enjoying this Friday and have the weekend off!  I have to work tomorrow, but I am off on Sunday, so I cannot complain about that.

I made this card for a very nice couple that works closely with our department.  They are so warm and helpful and the cutest couple ever.  I mean literally, she is beautiful and tiny and he is Mr Personality and eye candy.  And they are so super sweet to boot! lol.   Anyhoo, they just had a baby boy and I wanted to make them a card from the department and we are going to put a little gifty in that pocket.  This is the first time I have used my Gift Card Verticle Pocket and I can't say enough how much I love it!  Easy peasy and already to fold and glue.  Wow.   It was so worth the money because it's a total no brainer, and it looks so neat and tidy.  I airbrushed by background and stamped the cute scene over that, and then colored in the images.  Sometimes I will fussy cut a mask and place it over the images but in this case, it was so intriquet and I decided it was not worth it.  Light blue was easy to color over, lol.  The little bit that does show up in the yellow makes it appear more realistic anyway.  My bird started out blue, but it blended too well, then I added some red and the some yellow red.  The tail was green because I mistook it for a leaf until I actually looked at it, lol.  But you know, I love this little bird and how he turned out.

Have you had a chance to see the New Items in the store?  Have you played in our current challenge?  Anything Goes!  Hope to see your cards there!

This sketch is from Sketch Saturday.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!
