You Make my Heart Sing

Happy Holly-Day Friday!

What's better than being off the weekend?  I'm off today too! lol.  This is my Inspirational Loves Rubberstamps card for this week.  I looked at this card after I made it and something was disturbing me.  I followed the Sketch Saturday and so I looked to see if anyone else had used this and no, it wasn't there, so then I went to the La La Land Blog and I saw it resembled Jeanette's card from Happy Thoughts and Inkspots.  But I promise I was not KopyKatting her design.  Though her inspiration might have stuck in my subconscious and so I wanted to give her a little credit here, lol.

Anyhoo, I am using the newly released and soon to come to the Loves Rubberstamps store, Saxophone Luka by La La Land Craft as well as their brand new die Heart Treble Clef, which is also going to be added to the store in the near future.  I stamped him up in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and I glued them down with The Best Glue Ever!  I added a little white twine from S.U. to keep with the sketch.  Which I love this Saturday Sketch!  So perfect for bigger images.

And this paper came from my stash - Petite Papers by Webster Pages.  So I am starting the New Year right, using my old papers and my New Stamps! lol.

Now just because this cute little guy has not been added to the store yet, doesn't mean Laura hasn't been a busy bee adding all kinds of fabulous stamps to her store.  Go check out the New Items!  And don't forget our Challenge this week is Anything Goes, so head on over to the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog and upload your latest creation for a chance to win a prize!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Pink, Red, and Chocolate Challenge

Okay, What's Pink, Red, and dipped in Chocolate?  Our next Challenge over at All That Scraps!!! lol.   These are great colors to work with and have so many possibilities!!!

I used this cute sketch from Seems a little Sketchy.  Cracked open This Crate Paper pad I had called Paper Heart collection and colored KiKi La Rue Heart up with my Copic Markers.  She is from the December release and I could squench her, she is so cute.

Okay, I have a mountain of 6X6 pads behind me, and errr some on the shelf, okay a lot on the shelf, and a box full, okay, more than a box full.  So why do I want to run down to the LSS to see if they have the new Echo Park paper pad in? lol.  I'm so bad, but paper gives me mojo and so I'm surrounded by it and I feel like I have to have the new stuff all the time. lol.  Am I not alone?  What's worse is that someone offered to sell it for me at their LSS garage sale and now I'm hoarding it because of those 6x6 chipboard books I just know I'm going to get the chance to make one of these days. lol.  So my new thing is to try to use some old papers while getting new papers.  Hoping that I will buy less..... Do you think it will work? lol.  I hope so.

I cannot wait to see your uploads to the Wednesdays Challenge page!

Blowing Bubbles for New Years!

Hello and Happy New Years!

As many of you will be drinking the bubbly, I will be blowing the bubbly with my husband and son, lol.  It's a fun life.  I will be tired from staying up til midnight (which is why I prescheduled this post, lol) but not hung over in the least, lol.  The older I get, the more I appreciate the mornings where I don't feel like dying, lol.  I hope your New Year starts out fun and safe!

This is the start of a New Year and our very first Challenge for 2013 at Loves Rubberstamps is - Anything Goes!  I would like to thank our sponsor - The Cutting Cafe!  So double the prizes!  Whoo Hooo, so fun.   I cannot wait to see your fabulous creations this week.

What is your New Years Resolutions?  What do you hope to achieve in this coming year?  What are your design goals for your cards and scrapbooking?  My resolution is to finish my 26 Random Acts of Kindness. I hope to achieve all of my DT commitments this year.  My goals for card making are to broaden some of my coloring skills.  My goals for scrap booking is just to DO IT, lol.  And this week I hope to get a little more organized.  Not the Total overhaul, but just clear this desk and organize some dies. lol.  I'm keeping it simple, lol.

Angel Marci with Lyre

Happy Holly-Day Friday!

Whoo Hoo, it's Friday already and this is an end to a short work week huh?  I'm actually working Friday and Saturday, back to work on Monday and then off for a few days.  What a way to celebrate a New Year!!!   And speaking of New Years, this card also fits in our current challenge New Years Theme.  Have you played along?  I hope so, but if not, you still have time to make a card and play along with us.  There are prizes to be won!!!  Saturated Canary is our sponsor, so you don't want to miss out on that prize!!!

So this is for my Friday Inspiration post over at Loves Rubberstamps.  I am using Angel Marci with Lyre.  How do you say "Lyre"?  lol.  I'm not sure, but she is a cute little Angel.  A New Year Angel wishing us all Peace on Earth.  And I do wish for that as well.  Wouldn't it be great if we all could come to an agreement on our differences, learn how to live with those differences and put an end to all war?  Our children would be safe, we would be happy and the future of all man-kind would be so blessed.  That is my wish for all of us.

These are the products I used today:
Angel Marci with Lyre - La La Land Crafts
MFT's Mini Tab Quartet Die-Namic
Memento Ink - Black Tuxedo
Best Glue Ever
6X6 pattern paper

Thanks so much for Looking and for your kind Comments.
