Woodblock Wednesday

Hi Friends,

I decided to stay up an hour past my bedtime to finish up a card for Amy's Woodblock Wednesday challenge.  Wow, I haven't inked up a wood block stamp in a longgggg time.  I had this cute little House Mouse at the top of one of my piles and he was begging to get inked up, so I did.  I was suprised how evenly this stamped.  I am so used to Misti and being able to ink up the image a couple times if needed, that I was a bit nervous.  I do have a stampamajig around here somewhere, but I am not sure where that landed, lol.  This House Mouse is called Tea Time.  Jasmine tea sounds really good right now, but I'm off to bed so I can be coherent at work tomorrow. I will be added some embellishments to this, I just had to get a pic and get this posted pretty quickly.

I can't wait to see what everyone else is making.

Thanks for stopping in,

I like cute cups!

Hi Friends,

It's the last day of the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and I made a card for each day!!! yeah!!! I never realized how much I used my shoulders to craft until I couldn't use my right one. Especially with coloring.  Thankfully there are cute die cuts to the rescue.  I picked up this cute stitched cup Lawn Fawn die from Doodlebugswa.  I see they are sold out right now, but you can always click the out of stock and click on the "notify me" for when they are back in stock.  I paired it with some very old Washi tape from the now out of buisness Sweet Stamp Shop.  This sketch was begging for washi and I was looking for easy, so it worked well.  I rarely use washi tape, but when it was all the rage, I seemed to have acquired quite a bit of it, lol.

I like cute cups and I wanted to include some cups I have picked up from DL. ART.  They are great quality and the art is on both sides of the cup, something that makes my coffee drinking experience very pleasant.  I am also acquiring quite a bit of her Crinkle Ribbon, which is very nicely dyed.

I'm not pleased with the way any of my cards came out this hop, but I am blessed to have a very forgiving group of people who understand that sometimes, it's the best I can do under the circumstances and I love playing along and hopping around to see what everyone else made. Thank you Amy for hosting another successful hop!

I did a thing this year, actually the last year and half. I joined Noom weight loss and have taken off 107 lbs so far.  For the past six months I have been up and down 5 lbs, but the rest will come off when my body is ready to release more.  But if this is as good as it gets, I'm truely thankful and blessed. The one thing that Noom said that got me join is, "No food/drink is off the table."  I feel like every diet I've ever been on, coffee or half n half was not allowed.  We all know that does not work, at least long term.  But Coffee and half n half are on the menu, every day and for the first time in forever, I feel like I might be able to sustain this weight loss. I just wanted to mention this because you are all my friends and if someone is looking for a weight loss program and doesn't want to give up their coffee, this might be for you too.  I'll leave you with a before and after picture.  The before is May 2021 when I first started.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Memorizing my Coffee Order

Hi Friends,

Just today and tomorrow left for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. My card today features the new images and dies from My Favorite Things. Doodlebugs Wa, listed these the other day and I ordered them and just like a Christmas miracle they already here ready for me to use on this blog hop.  Doodlebugs Wa is one of our super sponsors and I can not say enough good things about them.  Have you ever loaded up your virtual cart with stamping goodies that you really wanted, only to get to check out and find the shipping costs are prohibitive?  Doodlebugs offers free shipping after $30.00 and you all know that's not too hard to do! Free shipping and super fast shipping are two of my favorite things, but wait there's more - the selection is amazing.  I'm going to post the LINK here to their store, and don't forget they are offering a discount code just for our hop!

I love these cute die cut mugs and the sayings are so fabulous! Special people in my life know how I take my coffee - seriously, very seriously, lol.  But those chosen few never forget I like a dollop of half n half and that's it. My very favorite coffee is Tim Horton's, and I can buy the K-Cups on Amazon, which thrills me to no end. Anyway, once my shoulder allows me to rummage through some of my stash, I plan to embellish this a little more and send it off.

I hope you are enjoying the hop and thank you so much for stopping by.

This Coffee is Making me Awesome!

Hi Friends,

I hope you are having a great time on the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. I know I am.  Today I'm using an image from Three Room Studios. The coloring is not my best but under the circumstances, that's okay. Love the cute image and the personality it has.

Have a great time on the hop and thanks for stopping by.

Coffee with Friends

Hi Friends,

I'm back on day five with another Crackerbox Stamps image. I love this cute image with the fairies. This could be coffee, tea, chicken soup, the possibilities are endless. I inked it up with my Versafine Clair Nocturne pad, love the coverage with that ink.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of the hop.

Guardian Angel

Hi Friends,

It's day 3 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Today I am using this cute little image of an Angel drinking her coffee from one of our super sponsors, Crackerbox stamps.  I like to think it's my Guardian Angel taking a much needed coffee break, lol.

I don't usually do clean and simple and I really think she needs to be colored up, but my shoulder is limiting what I can do.  I thought about maybe sitting this year out, but the creativity is a nice dIstraction from the shoulder pain, so while they are not my best, it's the best I can do for now.  Besides, I really look forward to this hop every year.

Thank you for your kind words re: my shoulder injury. For those who missed it, I really cannot pinpoint what I did, but I tend to bulldoze through life and somehow or another have greatly injured my shoulder. At first I wondered if it was out of socket, but everything looked even.  And then I thought I had just pulled a muscle, but as the days went by, I decided to see my doctor.  X-rays later, there are calcium deposits and I cannot lift my right arm or extend it. I have like T-Rex mobility with my right arm.  My doctor thinks it might be a torn rotator cuff, which will mean surgery.  Currently I'm waiting on my insurance to approve an MRI to be able to tell for sure, and then a referral to an orthopedist.  I'm so bummed.  But it is what it is, and I will continue to do what I can.

So with that being said, I am really enjoying this years coffee blog hop and seeing everyone's fabulous creations.  And maybe doing a little more shopping! lol.

Thanks for stopping by,

Let's Stay Home

Hi friends,

It's day 2 of the coffee lovers blog hop and this time I am using the mini cups and mugs die cuts from Divinity Designs. Love these little shapes. I decided to use the scraps from yesterdays card and make use of sentiment that came in the Carta Bella paper pad, "Gather at home".

I hope you are having fun hopping around!

Coffee Time

Yeah, it's time for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!
I'm using the Cups & Mugs dies from Divinity Designs.

In other news, I had just started to make my coffee cards when my shoulder gave out, so I might only have a couple of entrees this year, but I love seeing everyone elses fabulous designs and I love hopping around too. I hope you all have a great day and Happy Veterans Day to all our Vets.  And a big Happy Birthday wish to my husband.

Winnie the Pooh: Social Media Hop

Hi Everyone,

Long time since I actually posted on my blog, I know, but Crystal Minkler is hosting this Winnie the Pooh social media hop and I could not resist!  The whole time I was making these cards, I had the song, "Bears love honey and I'm a Pooh bear, so I do care, so I do care..." running through my mind, lol.

Both of these are from Unity Stamp, "the smallest things" and "Oh delightful Day".  If only I had a week off to play with them all, and I do have them all! lol.  I just love them. They were a lot of fun to color up with my Copic Markers. And it's been a while since I spent a whole day just playing, so it was lots of fun.

Next up on the hop is, Gaylynn, if you didn't start from the beginning, you can head on over to Crystal's blog so you don't miss a thing. Be sure to leave us a comment along the way.

Thank you for stopping by,

Wishing you a Merry Christmas

Stampin Up - New Items

Hi Friends,

Yippee, we made it! A whole week of Christmas in July! Brought to us by the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Hop.  I have had so much fun making cards to post along with the hop. A BIG thank you to Crystal for organizing this hop for all of us!

Well you guessed it. I did not come up with this design, it is the work of my ever so talented Demo. In my defense, I am in the middle of working 10 days in a row. So there is nothing creative happening in my brain right now, lol. But I did assemble the card, so that counts, lol. This is actually a gift card holder and will come in very handy at Christmas time. I love that I have a few more cards to add to the Christmas card stash.

Thank you for checking in on me.

Stampin Up - New items

Hi Friends,

I'm not going to lie, all I did was assemble this card together. My very talented Demo came up with the design and used all her new goodies from the new holiday mini catalog. I absolutely love this card. I never think to buy the ribbon you know, and it just finishes up the cards so nicely.

I hope you are having fun hopping withthe Christmas in July Build your stash holiday cardmakers hop

Thanks for checking in on me,

Sending Warm Christmas wishes

Stampin Up Rustic Retreat stamps

Hi Friends,

I pulled out another stamp set I purchased but had never seen ink, Rustric Retreat. I actually loved the sample from the catalog and will still keep it out to make one of those, but I also thought this would make an excellent Christmas card. Love the cozy scene.

I hope you are enjoying the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers hop. I have enjoyed creating these cards and just taking the time to relax to do something I love. Plus it will be super helpful come December to have these!

Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Season's Greetings

Stampin Up - Coming Home stamps
Stampin Up Home Together dies
Trimming the Town - paper
Creative Memories - swirvy cutter

Hi Friends,

No, I'm getting tired of playing with these homes, lol. I love the greetings that are in the designer paper and super matchy! I only wish more of the greetings were in English and/or closer together. I'm lucky though, I actually bought two of these packs of paper. Sometimes I just know myself, lol.

I hope you are having fun hopping along with the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Hop.

Thank you for popping in to see me.

Hearts Come Home

Stampin Up Coming Home - stamps
Stampin Up Home Together - dies
Stampin Up Trimming The Town - paper
My Favorite Things Secret Santa - Sentiment
Stampin Up Misti Moonlight paper

Hi Friends,

I made a card with this set yesterday and I wanted to make another.  I saw this card and changed a few things, but I really loved the design. I cut the homes out of the designer paper and popped them up with dementionals. I stamped, colored and cut the little car, as well as the wreath. I love the little VW bug car, it might have been the main attraction to this set, but I've had so much fun cutting out the homes in the paper, that I have hardly used the stamps. Sometimes I just don't feel like coloring, so this worked out perfect.

I hope you can join along in building your stash for the cardmaking holiday hop.  Christmas in July is the best!

Thank you,

Holly

Merry Little Christmas

Stampin Up Coming Home - stamps
Stampin Up Home Together - dies
Stampin Up Trimming The Town - paper
My Favorite Things Secret Santa - Sentiment
Stampin Up Misti Moonlight paper and ink
Martha Stewart Snowflake - Punch

Hi Friends,

It's time to Build Your Stash Holiday with the Cardmakers Hop! I totally did not see this one coming so I am already a day late (and a dollar short, lol). I went through my Pinterest pins looking for inspiration and it did not disappoint. I saw this card and remembered that I did have everything I needed to make it. I'm super excited to break open this stamp set, dies, and the super matchy paper. I'm not even sure which holiday catalog this set was in, but I'm pretty sure they are now retired. I usually see something that sparks joy, I buy it, and then it sits on the shelf waiting for inspiration to come. I love it that the dies cut out the homes in the paper, as well as the trees.

It's so great to build the Christmas card stash up, so come December I will have plenty of them made ahead of time. I hope you can join us in making some cards and linking them ..... and of course, hopping along.

I hope everyone is well and healthy,

Holly

Hi Friends,

Welcome to day 7 of the BYSHC Hop. I can't believe how quickly this week has passed by! Earlier in the hop I promised you another Unity truck image and here is it! I love this image and the fabulous sentiment. Have you ever seen a wood tailgate? I love those!

Peas on Earth

The Ink Blot Shop - Peas on Earth

Hi Friends,

Day 6 of the BYSHC Hop!  OMGosh I love this stamp set! I first saw it years ago and when I went to buy it, it had sold out. Fast forward to today, I finally did buy it and I am just now inking it up. Those little peas are so adorable with their little hats! I popped them up on foam but wouldn't it be great if they made action wobblers small enough for these tiny images? lol.

Thank you for stopping by my blog!

I Thought it was Candy!

The Rubber Cafe - Santa's Workshop
Doodlbug - Here Comes Santa Clause

Hi Friends,

Welcom to day 5 of the BYSHC Hop. I hope you are all having a great time hopping along seeing everyone's Holiday cards.

For today's card, I am inking up this cute elf from Santa's Workshop set from The Rubber Cafe. I purchased this stamp set years ago at a stamp expo. In one of my re-organization sessions, I misplaced it. That December I had an idea and wanted to use this image. I looked high and low and could not find it anywhere. I finally found it last year and put it in it's rightful place. So I am finally inking it up, although I can't remember what idea it was that I had, lol. It may come to me though and then you better believe I will get it out again.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
