Girl Wave

Howdy, just popping by to give you a girl wave!  This cute image is from Stampendous but I cannot remember the name of her to save my life.  I inked her on a Lil Inkers Oval and colored her up with Prisma colored pencils and gamsol.  The Scallop border is MFT Die-Namics.

Talk with you soon,

Holly

Ooo La La

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick post to show you what I made with some friends the other night.

This is a retired poodle image from S.U. The sentiment is from Penny Black MiMi set and the grass and Eiffel Tower are MFT Die-Namics.  The Oval Shape was cut out from a Lil Inker Die, OMG I love these!  I added some flowers and sequins from my stash.  We used prisma pencils and gamsol, something I haven't done in forever.... had to dust them off, lol.

Thanks for checking in on me

Use Washi Tape

Hello Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a new Challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps!!!  Whoo Hoo.  This week we are wanting you to use Washi Tape or Faux Washi Tape.  The thing about washi tape is that I have rolls of this stuff and I rarely ever use it, lol.  I also really don't know how to use it, lol.  But I tried.  It's perfect for a quick something something on your card.

The Design Team would like to thank this weeks Sponsor, Doodle Garden, for providing us with such cute images!

The Doodle Garden

I had fun coloring up this little sling shot boy and I really love those toes! lol.  So I tore off two pieces of washi tape and stuck them on my card, lol.   It goes but somehow it doesn't look as cute as some of the others I've seen, lol.  Head on over to the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog and see what the other Design Team Members have made!   I can't wait to see how you guys use your washi tape, maybe I'll have something more interesting to KopyKat! lol.

You also want to take a look in the Loves Rubberstamps New Items section and see if there is something added that you have not seen!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

I just picked the paper and got out the dies and it whipped together in no time. It is no secret that I love the MFT Die-Namics because they are the perfect card size and they hold up to the challenge. Not only do I use them for myself, my friends also use them when we get together so they really withstand use after use. Those Fishtails are one of my fav and I love to have the layers one to stack up my layers.

You still have a few hours left to join us in our Challenge - use a funny sentiment. Which my card does not depict because I need to send this to someone who has experienced a loss. Please join us tomorrow for our New Challenge as well.

You also want to take a look through the Loves Rubberstamps Store, so many cute things and Laura has been adding to the New Items. As soon as I get done studying for tomorrow nights class, I am getting my Sugar Pea stamps inky! Happy Sunday!

Hello Everyone,

Happy Sunday to you.  I hope you are enjoying this fine afternoon.  It is Sunny and Clear (as clear as our air will ever be) here in California.  The dogs got their bath and are napping now.  Kitty has went through her morning tyrant and is napping now.  Kitty had a busy morning, she had to antagonize the dogs through the sliding glass window and then the living room window, which one of them lunged at, thereby causing her to jump straight into the air and land on poor Jeep, who got scratched right by his eye.  She knocked over my cups on my nightstand trying to get to the straws, she rummaged through the trash and now I'm finding those chicken wing bones all over the house.  But the last straw was when I was making the boys tuna fish sandwiches, and she jumped onto the counter thinking she was just going to help herself to some.....kitty is now on a time out.  lol.

I went to our Stampin Up club and we made the cutest cards, I just wanted to share them with you.

I thought this little pop up card was so cute!  It folds down to a regular card size.  The little flaps have the same cardstock on them as well.  The flowers and butterflies are on Acrylic strips and float on the inside.  All the flowers and butterflies were made of current S.U. punches.

This little flap card was made using the new tag punches that are in the mini and S.U. paper and supplies.  We watercolored the flowers on the tag using our aquapens, which I love!

This cute vase card was cased from Brandy Cox, (the demo's  do card exchanges).  We stamped the first layer and I colored in the flowers with a blender pen, then we stamped the vases twice and stamped other floral images on to vases and popped them up.  The blue one is not popped.  I did hear that S.U. is going to come out with alcohol markers too.   My Demo, Rhonda, was not sure if it's one that is already out there or if S.U. is going to manufacture their own.  I can't wait to get some of these in the S.U. colors to go with the papers, super matchy!

I had a lot of fun with these and it was nice to get away from my cave and all my toys and go to someone elses cave and play with their toys, lol.  I do have several (cough, wince) neglected S.U. stamps that I plan to start using again soon. lol.

I hope you have a chance to get inky!  And if you are looking for other companies, be sure to check out Loves Rubberstamps!  There are a lot of fabulous stamps in Laura's store too.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments,

Holly

Sending Thanks

Happy Monday!

It's my turn to post some inspiration for you today over at the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog. I got up early yesterday just to make this one.

I don't know about you, but I can't seem to ever have enough Thank You cards on hand. I need to make a dozen of these up, lol. I love the Postage Die because the middle cuts out as well as the sides, so you can mix and match your papers with this. The stamp sets are a perfect combination with these dies. I recommend having both! The Cheverons are different sizes and styles in each set. I also love the coverage I get with Memento ink and since they are safe for my Copic Markers when I use them, I am safe! lol.
I hope you feel inspired by my card and you have the holly-day off to get inky! I know I do! And while you are at it, you can join us in our current challenge - paper piece!
I had a little help with my card photo's today:

My Gamer!

Hello Friends and Stampers,

We have a New Challenge today over at Loves Rubberstamps - Paper Piecing!

The Paper Shelter - Gaming Boy
Doodle Design 6X6 paper

I took a quick picture to show you how I layered this.   You can click on the picture to make it bigger to see.

I love this image and would like to thank The Paper Shelter for providing the design team with such wonderful images to use.  They are our sponsor this week!   This one reminds me of my Jeepy!

Paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques to use.  I do this all the time.  Only recently did I learn that it looks a lot better if you layer the whole image and not just pieces here and there.  It's a fussy cutting world!  But sometimes cutting it all out is fun and zen! lol.

Head on over to the Challenge Blog to find out all the details and to see what my fellow team mates have made to inspire you!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday Afternoon.  I know I am.  I wanted to get this up and linked to the MFT's weekly sketch today.  I had made one on Friday night and then discovered that I used last weeks Sketch again, lol.   So you will be able to see that one tomorrow. lol.   I got in from Paso Robles last night and whipped this little card up in a couple hours.  That is a record for me, lol.  I love this cute image, MFT PI Will you be mine, and inked her up with my Memento black ink, then I colored her with my Copic Markers.  I used Copic X Press It paper.  I also used my Circle Stax set one and two Die-Namics along with the Fishtail Flags Stax.  I used Doodlebugs Sweetheart paper and found some Enamel Dot Sprinkles, which I LOVE!!!   Poor Laura, everytime I see something I can't live without, I ask her to add it to the Loves Rubberstamps Store and you know what?  She does!    I'm so spoiled, I love being on her design team!

Here is the weekly sketch:

So Retro

I love the La La Land Marci's.  They are so much fun to color and come in a variety of different poses and designs.  If you are a regular reader, you know I have been to a couple of Irina's work shops and have had such a great time.  I learn new things and take away the cutest projects she has designed.  I hear she is going to be in Beverly Hills this month.  If you can make it to the workshop, she will not disappoint!

It's time for a New Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Blog. This week is Anything Goes!  Whoo Hoo.  I actually made this one for my boss at work who is super retro and loves poodles so much she has a couple and is very involved in the breed and shows.  So what could be more perfect for her?   And yes, she loved it.

You cannot see but there is glossy accents on the glasses and purse and shoes.  I also dabbed a bit of Pearl Pen in Sunny Yellow, something Irina was using a lot of on her flowers.  On the inside, I inked up the sentiment, "So Retro".

Have you seen the New Items in the store?  I cannot wait to get my hands on those flowers!!! lol.  And keep this button handy because there are a lot more exciting things coming to the store!!!!  EEK, I cannot wait. I still have oodles of things already in the store that I want to get, lol.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments,

XOXO

Hello Everyone,

Irina posted a sketch challenge over at her La La Land Inc Facebook Page!  I asked her when she was going to have another one, because I was too busy to squeeze in her last one, lol.  She said, "Here you go Holly!"  Which is great, because it forced me to be more crafty on this day off than I normally would have been and I needed to creativity and the rest, lol.

Echo Park 6X6 Head over Heels

I love this adorable image and I have used her before. This is the first time I have used my Lil Inkers Oval die and I have to say that I loved it!  All of my Marci fit and because of the stitching, it's a stand alone.  So I don't have to mat it, although I could have cut down the stitching and cut another out to layer,  so it's perfect.  I love that it matches the stitching in the String of hearts too.

Thanks for popping over for a look.

Love is in the Air

Echo Park 6X6 Head Over Heels

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's my turn to post on the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.  Have you seen these new MFT pure innocence images?  They are so adorable.  I love her little outstretched arms.  The raining hearts is a separate stamp and now that I think about it, I wish I had chosen  Memento Lady Bug Red ink.  But the black is super matchy, lol.   How is your week starting out?  I hope you have had a chance to play with us in our current Challenge - use Lace!

Have you clicked on the New Items button lately?  If so, you may have seen that Laura is adding Wild Orchid Flowers to the store!  These are available now as pre-orders and she is not quite done adding them all in, but go take a look!
**PREORDER** Wild Orchid Crafts MIXED RED/WHITE COSMOS DAISY STEM FLOWERS**PREORDER** Wild Orchid Crafts LILAC MULBERRY PAPER OPEN ROSES**PREORDER** Wild Orchid Crafts 2-TONE LIGHT TURQUOISE MULBERRY PAPER OPEN ROSES

And there is more!!!! Yippee.

Did you catch the Superbowl Game yesterday?  Ughhhhh.   I hate it when it's a runaway game like that.  The build up for the whole season and it comes down to the Super Bowl where the two best teams are playing and the Broncho's forgot to bring their energy with them..... It was awful to watch.  But my dear husband got the wings, the chips, helped with the dip and did everything in his power to make sure I had a great Super Bowl Sunday.  I just love him for that!

Okay, I'm off to dream land now, lol.   Thanks for looking and for your kind comments!!!
