Hiking Edwin

Hello Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a whole new theme over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.  This week we want you to show us your tall and skinny cards 4x9.  When I first read this challenge, I was thinking how great my Hiking Edwin and Walter the Moose would fit together on the same card.  I was really excited when the Hiking Background fit as well.  So this is my one layer card hiking scene.  I had seen these used in a different way together last year and asked Laura if she would get these three Magnolia's from the Turning a New Leaf Series and she did!!!  In fact so far, everything I've asked for, she has gotten in the store.  She is so wonderful to design for!  I've had them for a little while but have not had the opportunity to ink them up yet, so I was glad to get the chance now.  I colored them with my Copic Markers and used my airbrush for the background with my Copic Markers as well.

Initially I had purchased these three stamps thinking I would get some Scrapbooking done, lol.  I have lots of hiking and camping pics I need to get scrapbooked from the cubscout stuff.  So I was happy to "try them out" here and OMGosh that Moose is the cutest thing ever!  Magnolia stamps are easy to color because they offer hashes and dots of areas that should be darker, so they are a no brainer for coloring and you know, sometimes that just helps out a lot, lol.

Four by nine is out of my comfort zone, but since I was able to fill in the space and create a scene, I had a great time with this and I know you will too.  I cannot wait to see whatcha make!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Aloha

Aloha Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Friday.  It's my turn to show you something new for the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog and inspire you to go check out all the NEW ITEMS Laura has listed in her store.  so Whether you are looking for Magnolia's, PreOrders of La La La Land, or fresh out on the market MFT's, or a whole lot more, go check out the new stuff in the store!  What could be better than that?  Come join us for our Design Team Call.  With so many fabulous products at a design team discount, you cannot run out of inspiration.

Although I have not put a charm on this design, our current Challenge is "charming" and I hope you can join us!

Do to the new influx of stamps and fabulous products, I am currently experiencing a work-a-holic week, so I will be working through Saturday and my weekend will start on Sunday.  And then I shall shop! lol.

I hope you are having a fabulous week and have some time to get inky.  For this particular card, my inspiration came from one of our past Guest Designers Jackie,  I had envisioned something I could totally do with that design using one of my cute little hula girls, and I love the colors she used as well.  I am also using this weeks sketch challenge from MFT.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Cute Nurse

Hello Friends and Stampers,

It's Tuesday, time for a new Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog!
This week we are asking you to add a Charm to your project.
We are sponsored this week by The Paper Shelter, so that means you not only win a voucher to the store, you also win some very cute digi images!
The Design Team would like to thank The Paper Shelter for providing us with some adorable images!

My Little gal is a digi called Cute Nurses.  She comes with a friend because, Hello!, we don't work alone that's for darn sure.  It takes team work and dedication.  I nearly did not get this card finished in time.  Life has been so busy in all aspects and I had even emailed Laura to let her know last night.  I was talking with my dear husband about how awful I felt not getting my card done and he volunteered to make dinner tonight and give me a few hours to work on it!  yeah, he is so awesome!  So dedication and team work at home too, what could be better?

I hope you are having a great work and have time to make something too!  I rarely ever use charms and when I do, they are nearly all hand made.  But I had a few store bought ones for just this occasion.  How about you?  Do you use charms on your projects often?  I can't wait to see how everyone is using them.

For this design, I used Karen's Sunday Sketch.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!!!

Retro Coffee

Hello and Happy Holly-Day Friday!

It's my turn to show you something new on the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.   Check out these Retro Folks just added to the store!  I LOVE THEM!!!  And soon to be added are the Funny Bone Sentiments that accompany them.  One thing my fellow co-designer, Dangina, pointed out was that they are so easy to color and you do not have to use a lot of ink!  I colored her super quickly with my Copics and then sponged around the image with Memento Cantelope which is also newly added to the store.  Also newly added are the Die-namic First Class Friends!   All items I used that are carried in the store are hyperlinked below the card for easy viewing/buying access.   Or you can do what I am doing tomorrow for my Birthday - Start with Newly Added Items!!!

I have used the following sketch:

Don't Forget about our Design Team Call! See details HERE.

Where else can you use products together and find a better selection?  I really enjoy being on the Loves Rubberstamps Design Team.  Laura is very interactive with all of us and we send out group emails and chit chat from time to time.  So I feel very much like part of the team and part of  a family.  In fact, as the Design Team Coordinator, it's my job to console Laura when someone leaves the team, lol.  In addition to helping answer questions and filling in every now and again.  Several months ago I showed Laura these Retro Folks and told her how much I LOVED them and would like to have them all.  Now keep in mind, I ask for A LOT of stamps, lol, but she did add them to her store.  And she has added other companies that other Design Team members have requested.  And she does this as soon as she can possibly add to her growing store.  So if you would like to join us, we would love to consider you among the other applicants.  We are looking for different skill and design levels, so don't be shy.  Click the here button to find out about the details!

I hope you have a wonderful Weekend!!!  If you have time to play in our Christmas in July Challenge, we would love to see your entrees!!!

It's Christmas In July!

Don't Forget about our Design Team Call!  See details HERE.

MFT PI - Little Santa
MFT Die-namics Blueprints 1
MFT Die-Namic Santa's Sleigh
Memento - Tuxedo Black Ink
Copic X-Press It Paper
Copic Markers

Hello Friends and Stampers!

It's time for a New Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - Christmas in July!  Wow, I have to say that I love this challenge because I love Christmas and because I procrastinate Christmas Cards until it's just too darn late to get around making them and sending them, lol.  I love this little Santa and the Santa Sleigh die-namic is so fabulous.  In real life this glitter paper is not as manic as it is in the photo, lol.  I use glossy effects on the boots and some glitter on the snow hills.  I am having one of those moments in a scrappers life where I held back on two items in the store and now I am regretting it, lol.  I forced myself to choose between Santa and this cute elf girl!  Plus I have a wavy cutter so I decided I did not need this die-namic snow drift!  And these two items I spent hours looking for, because shirley I bought them right? grrrrr.  I was in one of those self talk moods because I had so much to buy for Christmas and I made myself choose.  Well, fortunately, they are still in the store and I can still order them for this year! lol.  I also cannot say enough about the blueprints 1 die-namics, I LOVE to use this set and I think it might mean just a little more to me because it was a gift from Laura to me.  Which was so sweet!

Have you been to the Loves Rubberstamps Store to check out all the New Items Laura has added? I love that she has the new items search button so I can just pick up from there and move backwards, lol.   As mentioned above, we are having a Design Call Team.   Something we haven't had in a while because we all keep renewing.  Laura is a lot of fun to work for and this team of gals are wonderful and very supportive.  We have a email chit chat at least once a month if not more and everyone feels like they have a say in what goes in the store, the weekly challenges, and any other new or fresh ideas you may have.  So if you are looking for a Design Team to be on, this is a good one to try out for.  We are looking for ALL skill levels and styles.  Do not be afraid to try out because you don't think you are good enough.  If we all designed the same, there would be no need for all of us.  Scrap pages and 3D items are also allowed. Also, take a look through the store and see how many different companies and styles of stamps Laura carries!  That alone is exciting and you get a great discount on most things, which means you can buy more! lol.  So try out to come join us!

Well we have our Grandson with us now and the two boys are filling up all the extra space and time, lol.  They are having a ball.  We went to see despicable me 2 today and I think I might have enjoyed it a tad more than the kids in the theatre and it was packed, lol.  I love the minions and the fun antics and the kids in the cartoon.

I hope you are all having a great week!  Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Copic X-Press It Paper
Copic Markers
FancyPantsDesign 6X6

Happy Holly Day Friday!  It's my turn to to provide some inspiration on the Loves Rubberstamps Blog.  There is a lot happening right now.  We have a Design Team Call, A Guest Design Team Call for August, A use your hoarded items challenge, and a whole lot of NEW and fabulous products added to the store.  Click on the links, you do not want to miss out!

For today's card, I am using the cute new MFT PI - Gone fishing image that Laura just added to the store, I inked her up with Copic Marker safe Memento Black ink and colored her up with my Copic Markers, on X-Press It Copic Paper.  I also used the Die-namic insta frame and catch a wave die. I love these cute little images and they are a lot of fun to color.

I'm off work today and on my way to pick up my Grandson Reed who is coming to live with us for a couple years while my daughter is off to school.  My Grandson is 7 and my youngest son is ten, so they get along like peas and carrots.  That sounded a bit Forest Gumpy didn't it? lol.   So we are on to new adventures in our household and yet, one more guy.  I have two sons, a husband, two male dogs and now a grandson living with me.  So it's just me and Lucky Day to rule the roost, lol!  Lucky Day is my dog, lol.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend and can join us for our Challenge and consider working with us on our Design Team!  It's a lot of fun and Laura is adding new companies and expanding existing companies all the time.  Lots of fun and a great discount!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Design Team Call

Hi Stampers!

We are going to have 3 positions opening up for our Loves Rubberstamps Design Team Term from September 1st - December 31st and would LOVE to have you try out!

Requirement would be two projects per week along with a corresponding blog post featuring your projects.

One of these projects will be for our weekly challenge blog which has a new challenge every Tuesday. You will need to have this project completed by Sunday for that week's challenge. You will need to showcase this project on your blog on Tuesday and provide links to our challenge blog and to the products you used linked to our store. You do get a list of the challenges in advance if you like to work ahead.

You will also be required to leave comments for our blog challenge participants. These will be assigned.

The second project can be anything you wish to make and is an inspirational post. This will be for our "Sunday Spectacular Blog Hop" post. This is where we will feature works from multiple designers and do a blog hop to each Designers Blog. You will need to post this project on your blog on a scheduled time on Sunday with links to the company store for the products you used. It may also be featured on our company facebook page and also in our store as a sample for the products used. This project will need to be completed by Friday of each week for that Sunday's post.

Our only requirement for projects is that you MUST use stamps from companies that we carry that are in their CURRENT line - no retired images. We are still growing our inventory so even if the particular stamp is not in our product line up yet... as long as it is one we can order - you can use it. We are always adding new companies and products as quickly as we can.

You must also display our store badge with a link to our store, design team badge and links to the team members websites on your blog, and our blog badge for the challenge blog with a link to that site while being a member

We do have a couple of challenge sponsors who require us to use their stamps the week that they are the sponsor on our challenge site.In these cases they will provide a digi stamp to use so you will need to be able to use a digi stamp if necessary.

Our last requirement is to HAVE FUN!

Design Team Members will receive the following:

A 30% Discount off all items we carry in our store (there are a couple of exceptions) during your term

Your projects being featured on the Company Blog, Challenge Blog, Company Facebook Page and in the store as well as links provided to your blog.

Links to your blog from the company blog page, challenge blog site as well as from each design team member's websites

We do allow our Design Team Members to serve on other Design Teams as long as it does not interfere with your commitment to our team. We also allow a design team member to do multiple posts in a day if needed. For example - you serve on 2 teams, each requires a Tuesday Post, you would do one blog post for our company, then a seperate one for your other team.

To apply... You can create a Blog Post telling us a little about yourself and why you would like to be on the team and share some of your at least 3 of your favorite projects with us THEN link your blog post up to Mr. Linky below...

OR you can also send an email with the following information to lovesrubberstamps@yahoo.com with Design Team in the Subject Line

Please include in your email:

Name

A little bit about yourself

Any current or past Design Team Work (you do not need experience to qualify)

Your blog address and any other online galleries that show your work

And include pictures or links of 3 of your favorite projects

Deadline for applying will be AUGUST 4th. We will then be making our selections by August 11th and notifying our choices by August 17th.

Please only apply if you are able to make the full commitment to the terms and the team.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration! Don't hesitate to contact us with questions also!

Show me your hoarded itmes!

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - use a hoarded item on your project.  That means that super cute doo-dad or super yummy paper or that fabulous button that you just have one of.  Whatever you are hoarding it, we are encouraging you to get it out and use it!

We are being sponsored this week by CC Designs!

The Design Team would like to thank CC Designs for proving us with these cute images.  I chose to use *New C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Watermelon Abigail Rubber Stamp, be sure to check out all the CC Designs Available at the Loves Rubberstamps Store as well.

I inked her up in Memento Tuxedo Black on to X-Press It Copic Paper and used my Copic Markers to color her up. The corner piece is a MFT Die-namic called Photo Corners

The papers are an old doodlebug design.  My Sister bought me a kit with the papers, ribbon and brads when I first started venturing away from S.U. and checking out other brands, a longggg time ago, lol.   I saved it for when I was "good enough" to use them because I didn't want to waste them.  Now I have used these not that long ago, but this is only the second time I have used it, lol.  I love the colors and the sweet strawberries and the glittery polka dots, super matchy cute as can be brads and the super matchy ribbon, lol.   So there, I used my hoarded items, lol.

Actually this challenge was quite difficult for me because I have so many hoarded items, lol.  And I still didn't want to give most of them up, lol.   I would venture to say that half the fun of doing this is buying the stamps, dies, paper, ribbon, buttons, brads, etc.  I love shopping for them and finding new stuff just as much as I like using it, lol.  I am hopeless!  I will continue to pull out my hoarded items, and use them!  lol.

I cannot wait to see your entrees and please do tell what items you hoarded and used on them, Inquiring Minds want to know!

I am also entering in the CC Designs current monthly challenge, Red Hot.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

For my card today I am using MFT WBD - You're so Special To Me, PoppyStamps Dies: Grand Madison Window, Plush Curtains, Wildflower Patch, and MFT Die-namic Grass Border.  I used Memento Black Ink, Copic X-Press paper and Copic Markers. I'm so excited that Laura just got all these things in the store and refreshed her stock on all the sold out MFT, so now is the time to go shopping, she has added a LOT of cute NEW things to the store.  Hop along and leave comments for a chance to win store money!   Plus there is still time to enter in our Anything Goes Challenge for a chance to win more store money!!!

This little gal was so much fun to color up and easy to cut out.  I love the Window frame and the light embossing that it makes, the curtains are also slightly embossed to help give them the pulled back look.  I cut out the flowers twice, once in green and once in red to snip off the tops and glue them on with the Best Glue Ever!  I used my Score Pad and scored half inch lines in the blue to make it look like wood planks.

Thanks for Looking and for your Kind Comments,

Hatter Bean

Spellbinder -Octogon

Happy Holly-Day Friday!

Today is my day to post over at the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.  I love this mojo 300 sketch and I am entering in the TGF Blog Challenge - Anything Goes.  I picked up this adorable Hatter Bean from the Loves Rubberstamps Store.  Laura has added so many fabulous NEW things in the past few days, I am like a kid in the Candy store and can't figure out which ones I want first, lol.

How was your fourth of July?  Are you on a long weekend?  I'm on a longggg week again.  Got to get the overtime while it's available.  Most of you know that means money for stamps, lol.   I am a big envious of the people who can take the Thursday through Sunday off though.  But I think I am getting a long weekend for Labor Day, so that will be very nice and a welcome to Fall.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Weigh In

Art Impressions - Girlfriends "The weigh in set"

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

It's time for a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - Anything Goes!  This week we are sponsored by The Cutting Cafe.  I love "The Girlfriends" stamp sets and cannot wait until these hit the Loves Rubberstamps store to add to my collection, lol.   I rarely make one layer cards, but I wanted to try this out and keep the focal point on my ladies.

I made this for my boss.  She is always trying to get us all to do a weigh in and a biggest loser contest amongst ourselves.  One of our co-workers is a food nazi.  And there are three of us who really need to lose some weight, lol.  So if we are all dieting together, we can encourage each other.  Now that the new computer system is in and life may get back to the regular stress level, I think I'm in!  lol.

These images were fun to color as well.  I hope you will join us in this challenge and let your creativity flow.  I cannot wait to see what you make!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!
