Pushmobile 2012: Part 1

Happy Holly-Day Friday
Can you believe I made another Scrap Page?  I am getting all kinds of inspiration and motivation to do these from my Bloggy Friends, Yvonne and Tracey.  Of course they are at much more advanced levels than I am, lol.  But hey, I have to start somewhere, lol.
It all begins with a great sketch for me.  If I have a starting point, then I can pick and choose my elements.  And even flip it around a little if I need to, lol, like the journaling tag.  I have so many pictures and events I NEED to Scrap and journal.  I am looking for a good photo printer.  It needs to be affordable, but print out decent pictures.  All my pictures are printing darker than what they are showing on screen and even if I adjust them, they are still coming out to dark.  So any suggestions?

I wanted to keep with this weeks Challenge at Loves Rubberstamps.  "Lets Get Krafty".  Kraft and one other color.  Most of my supplies are centered around cards, so I was so happy with myself that I had some 12X12 Kraft and some perfect designer papers in 12X12.  I added the light blue card stock as my one other color.  All are from S.U. My little Scout P.I. is from MFT's and I stamped him with Memento Black Ink and colored him with Copics.  I used a sentiment stamp from MFT's for my journaling tag.  I also used some Die-namic's: By The Letter Upper and By The Letter Lower Case, By The Number, and Tool Time.  I used my Ritz Card Candi Dots on the sides.  And I glued it all down with The Best Glue Ever!  Remember, if you do not see what you are looking for in the store, just send Laura an email and she will let you know how soon she can get that for you.

A couple weekends ago, our Cubscout Den got together to start building the Pushmobile.  Pushmobile races are next weekend.  My husband is the Den Leader and one of the gals at work saw the first picture and called him, The Pied Piper of Carpentry, lol.  Sometimes the Scouts bring their whole family and that is what's so great about all the Cubscouts Events, not only does it help the boys, it brings whole families together to do projects together.  And with every one's help, we got the base made and painted!  I don't know if you can see their feet, but that is my ghetto version of shoe protectors, lol.  Thankfully I save all my plastic bags from the grocery stores.  But with all things comes a lot of planning and a lot of work.  Sometimes my dear husband is stretched so thin he wonders if anything he is doing is making a difference.  So when he can't see the forest through the trees, that is where I come in to help him see that he has made a BIG Impact on their lives.

Today is the 30th, the last day in November!  Yikes!!!  It's also the last day to get in on a great sale!
Not valid with preorders, but wait til you see what's in the store!!!!

Pamper Yourself

Hello There!

How is everyone doing this fine Thursday night?  I finished up this card yesterday but had not had a minute to photo, edit and blog it.  This is Relaxing Charlotte from Sparkle Creations.  I used Crate Paper - Farmhouse and flipped this the fabulous sketch challenge going on right now on Sparkle Creations Blog.  She is cut out of the box with a nestie oval and framed with a nestie label... okay I forgot which one, lol.  I colored her with copics and sponged around with Memento Ink.  I used a Spica clear pen to go over the bubbles, the drink and the beauty products.

Thanks so much for Looking and for you kind Comments.

Sisters

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a reminder post of the Anything Goes Challenge over at All that Scraps!
For my card this week, I am using the adorable Swiss Pixie Sisters Stamp that was released this month.  I added some dies and some Card Candi (Holly Berry) to the Jillibean Soup Winter Tortellini and Spinach Soup 6X6 pad.  Love these colors.  Please remember to Read the rules, you must use a stamp that is sold at the store in order for your entry to count.  And you want to win a fabulous prize, so you want it to count.

These two reminded me of my Sister and I, when we were young.  And yes, she was always the fair complected one, (takes after my Mom) and I was always the brown berry one, (takes after my Dad.)  And at times, our Mother made us look alike dresses, lol.   And I always had some wild socks to go with any outfit, lol.   Of course my Sister is nearly five years older than I am, so these look alike dresses bothered her much more than it did me.  I colored these two up with my Copic Markers.

I cannot believe it's nearly the end of the month and NO, I am not ready for Christmas, lol.  Are you?  What Holly-Day will be celebrating this year?  Do you have big plans?  Any traditions?  I think there are only a few traditions we have and we are pretty loose on those.  lol.  Cookies out for Santa, with milk of course.  Santa brings things wrapped in his own special wrapping paper that is different than ours.  We let the little ones open one present on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas morning.  No opening presents until you have pulled the last adult out of bed, lol.  And then all those hours of shopping and wrapping unfold in about five minutes and there is paper everywhere and boxes being opened and games to play and oh....."what's for breakfast?" lol.  Breakfast is always Bacon and Eggs to go with your Chocolate that Santa brought.

Okay that's all from me for now, remember to make a card and upload it to the Challenge Blog!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

Let's Get Krafty

Happy Tuesday and Welcome to a new Challenge for Loves Rubberstamps.  This week we are sponsored by Eureka Stamps.   I would like to thank Eureka Stamps for providing the Design Team with their fabulous Digital Stamps!  They even let me pick out my own tree.  The Challenge this week is to use Kraft Card stock and another Color.  I interpreted that as another card stock color and then I used designer paper, lol.  So Let's Get Krafty

I love Kraft and had no problems using this color.  I love how it well it works as a neutral for most other colors.  I started out with this fabulous tree from Eureka.  After coloring it up with my Copic Markers, I stamped Christmas Elf Luka with my Memento Black Ink on a separate sheet of paper made to work with Alcohol Markers.  I colored Christmas Elf Luka up and fussy cut him out.  I added some Glitter to his hat and glued him down with The Best Glue Ever.  Which is a great glue because it won't cause your paper to warp or wrinkle.  I added a strip of MME Winter Wonderland.  Loved that there was a sheet with matching presents.  And I stamped the sentiment that came with my Christmas Elf Luka.  These come laser cut with the sentiments attached, but the first thing I do is cut out the sentiments, lol.   I added some brads I had in my stash and sat back and looked.  I decided that I was definitely not thrilled.

Have you ever had those times of no mojo?  Stuff in your life happening and it interrupts the creative juices from flowing in your brain?  Well I've been there for a couple weeks now.  My coloring is not as great, my designs are not as sharp and clean as I usually like them to be.  So what to do?  Add a ton of stickles!  I stickled up my Angel, the candles, the trim, lol.   It definitely helped the situation.  I had been by my favorite blogs, blogged hopped, looked into some tutorials....anything I can to shake the funk.  What do you do to get your mojo back?

Anyhoo, I cannot wait to see what color you add to your Kraft Card Stock and your fabulous design... it will help me! lol.

And in case you haven't checked in a few days, Laura has added some fabulous New Items in the store.  20% off Any OrderJust use the Coupon Code - NOVNEWS

You are Fabulous!

Oh I love these Flower Silhouette Stamps I picked up from Loves Rubberstamps!!!  I bought the matching die too!  I can't believe how quickly this one came together, about an hour.  I stamped in Memento ink and then used another stamp in this set to stamp over for the color.  The papers are Sweet Afternoon by Teresa Collins.  Another 6X6 I HAD to have and has sat unused, lol.  But I used them, lol.  The pearls are from S.U.

That's all from me, it's past my bedtime, lol.  Is it any wonder why I am always late for work?  lol.

It's the day after Thanksgiving, so technically it is still fall and what a better way to celebrate fall than with my cute little corn maze girl?  Love this image and I plan on using her quite a bit this winter.  I paired her with my picket fence die and some Authentique paperThe Challenge this week is to use Ribbon, so I added a bit of twine and bowed it.  I airbrushed the sky and colored her up with my Copics Markers.

Brothers

Happy Wednesday and Welcome to another Challenge over at All That Scraps!  This time it's "Anything Goes"!  One of my favorites.   I am also using this months sketch from I heart Sketches - a sketch for you to try.  Love it!  Please remember to READ the rules, you must use a stamp or digi that is sold at the All That Scraps Store, in order for your upload to qualify for a prize.

For my card, I used the newly released this month,  Swiss Pixie Brothers stamp and Four Seasons Fence Die.  I paired them with some Amy Tangerine American Crafts paper called Ready Set Go.  Love these papers!  I even paper pieced their sweaters with one of the sheets that are word bubbles, they were the perfect size and of course, the perfect colors and textures.  These two remind me of my two boys.  They both look like it's so hard not to get dirty on the Holidays, lol.  But luckily I dressed them in jeans, so after the big dinner and all the family pictures, they can go outside and play! lol.  I colored them up with my Copic Markers.

One of the Design Team gals over at the All That Scraps Blog, did a quick tutorial on how to add demention to a fence die HERE.  After I added texture, I sponged with my Tim Holtz ink pad.

Do you have any big Holly-Day plans tomorrow?  We are playing it low key.  Turkey in the oven early, mashed potatoes and gravy, dirky onion green beans, and brown and serve rolls.  I think I have a can of cranberry sauce, though I do not know why I open one up every year, no one eats it.  It's like one of those mandatory things though, lol.  There will plenty of snacks for the big Football game on in the afternoon too.  I love Football!  And then that's it.  Just a nice day to stay at home and be with the family.

Do you have any Black Friday plans?  I HAVE TO WORK!!!! ACKKKK!!!!!  I have sales to get to and I will be at work.  Where is the fairness in life? lol.   Probably for the best though.  I will still have plenty of shopping days left and to be honest with you, our city is packed from all the outlining areas and getting from point A to point B is a real chore.  They advertise plenty of great sales, but honestly, if you are one of lucky three in line first, you may just get one of the three they have in stock.

Whatever your plans are, I hope you have a safe and Happy Holly-Day and for all my non-USA friends, have a great Thursday, cook lots, lay around and eat a lot and enjoy the Holly-Day with us!  lol.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

The other side

It needed the other side, lol.  I was starting to put things away, when I thought about it and thought about it and decided rather than lose that paper or the ribbon or the thought process, I would just go ahead and do the flip side, lol.  So I flipped the sketch, printed out 3 more pictures, (with some help from my Hottie - lightening these dark pic's is very complicated!) and colored up my uninked Kraftin' Kimmie - Witchypoo!

The first picture is my youngest son and his friend, both Ninja's.  The second picture is my Grandson who lives a few hours away, and my third picture is my son again with this years pumpkin.

Again, these items and more Halloween Fun for scrapping can be found at Loves Rubberstamps.

Paper - S.U.
Halloween Charms
WitchyPoo
Spider Die-Namic and Stamp Set.
Memento Ink

Okay now I am really done for the night, lol.

Thanks for looking and for your kind comments.

Halloween Scrapped!

Whoooo Hoooo, I did it.  I spent all day doing one scrap page! lol.   No just a few hours, but it was fun!!!

I had to take the picture on my desk and not in my lightbox.  So forgive the weird lighting, lol.

Tomorrow is the deadline to get this pattern in.  I really like it.  I am hoping I can do a reverse of it for the other side, lol.  We took a few pictures, but most of them came out very dark.  But these are the Two Ninja's, my youngest son and his bestie.  I have SO much Halloween Scrappy Stuff! lol.  I just love this Holly-Day and all the cute dies and stamps that come out.  I can't help myself. lol.  If you have Halloween Pic's to Scrap and you NEED any great Halloween Dies or Images, head on over to the Loves Rubberstamps Store!  Laura is still uploading the Cutest Halloween Stamps!  And she still has some adorable Dies!!!

I colored my Ghost up with C00 and C1, and I found some cute ribbon at my LSS.  I am so glad I buy a yard here and a yard there, you never know when something is just going to fit just right, lol.

Paper - S.U.
Halloween Charms
Boo's Fun - Ghost Stamp
Spider Die-Namic and Stamp Set.
Memento Ink

Gobble!

Happy Sensational Sunday!  Did you know that if you head on over to the Loves Rubberstamps Blog and leave a Comment on the Sensational Sunday post you could win some blog candy?  Yeah, just for commenting!  Super easy.  Have you seen the newest, latest and greatest stamps and markers Laura has added to her store?  Go check them out while you are at it!

Today I have a new Pure Innocents stamp to show off just in time for Thanksgiving and I am keeping with the Gobble til you Wobble Challenge this week, lol.  But if it's too late for a Thanksgiving card and you want to play along, it can be any "Thank You" card.  So there is still a wee bit of time left to play in our Challenge.

Isn't she the cutest thing?  I'm planning on using her for Christmas too, lol.  And for some scrap pages I have in my head that I might get to in the next couple years, lol.   I keep talking about these scrap pages, I may eventually talk myself into doing them, lol.  It's like all those diet books I have, I should be a thin woman just by association, right? lol.   And have years and years of scrapbook pages done just by talking about them, lol.

I love these papers by Authentique, the patterns and colors are so great for so many different styles and designs.  This weeks sketch was a bit hard for me to wrap my head around.  But as I worked on one thing and then the other, it came together very easily.  I love using dies and having them in my stash.  You never know when you are going to need just the perfect die, lol.  I am so excited that not only is Laura getting more and more dies listed in the store, she also is planning on getting EVEN MORE!!!  Whooo Hooo.  I colored up my PI with my Copic Markers.

As I was making this card, I was wondering how other people make their cards.  Do you already have it all in your head and then go for it?  I usually have to find a good sketch or have some idea of a pattern I am going to use in my mind.  Then I pick the stamp I want to use.  I usually have a "few" of them in the must use pile, lol.  Then I pick out my paper by the stamp or the Challenge, and then I just start coloring and go from there.  Sometimes it's quite a bit different than whta I had in mind, lol.  But the card kinda just designs itself.

I used the following on this card:
MFT PI turkey time
Authentique Thankful collection

MFT Bon appetit die-namic
MFT Scallop Die-namic
MFT Rounded banner stax
MFT Die-namic sentiment strips
Circle Dies
Black Memento
Tim Holtz ink sponged.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!  Don't forget to check out what my fellow Design Team Members have made over on the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog and don't forget to comment, you could win!

My Cute Pumpkin Guy

Happy Friday Holly-Day!

This is my Friday Inspirational Blog post for Loves Rubberstamps.  I am using the cute Luka with a Pumpkin, and OMGosh how much fun it is to paper piece his little hat and pumpkin!  I doubled my Pumpkin fun with a CC Cutters pumpkin and kinda outlined it with a Copic pen to make it blend well.  Hidden behind those is a Fishtail Banner that matches the same first layer paper.  I also used some Card Candi called Metalique Copper and yes, I know, I have been using this Card Candi quite a bit but I LOVE IT!  I sponged around my out of the box Luka with Memento Cantaloupe ink.

This little guy reminds me of my youngest son.  Big Cheeks, Happy, and always Styling!  lol.   When he is not playing video games and when I can get him to leave his shoes on, lol.  Does anyone else have a 9 year old who won't leave his shoes on?  Even in class, the teachers always complain every year that he won't leave his shoes on, lol.   He steps on the backs of them to crush them down so they resemble some kind of seriously worn out slip-ons.  So much for the million dollar shoes huh?  Yes, he wanted the spring loaded, make him jump higher and run faster shoes and within two days, they looked like the seriously worn out slip-ons we replaced them with, lol.  He is a funny guy.

It's amazing how time is flying by this fall.  Seems like it's hard to get used to it being November and Thanksgiving is NEXT week!!!  And I won't even mention the "C" word, lol.

I am continuing our Challenge Theme this week - Thanksgiving/Fall inspired projects.
I am also using the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 171 - I love these sketches!

Recap:
Luka with Pumpkin - La La Land
Pumpkin Die - CC Cutters
Fishtail Flag Die- MFT
Metaliqu Copper - Card Candi
Cantaloupe Ink - Memento Ink
6x6 Designer Paper - Ready Set Go

Thanks so much for Looking and for your wonderful Comments!

Hmmmm, I wonder what's in here?

Rudy the Envelope Gift Card Holder
Hello All!

Welcome to to the weekly reminder post of the current Challenge going on right now over at All the Scraps, Anything but a Card!  I got really lucky, my S.U. demonstrator had one of these fabulous envelope gift card holders for our monthly project.  Talk about timing!  lol.  I knew my little Rudy would work perfectly on this.  You start with a "Medium" envelope ( 5-3/4 X 4-3/8), fold the outside edges in towards the center and crease with your bone folder.  Snip off the outside of the top portion (where the gumminess is).   Add some ribbon and adhere it to the front of the folded up envelope so that it rest and come around just right under the flap (top gummy portion).  The base that the envelope will adhere to is 4-3/4 X 3-1/4.  The smaller base is 3-1/4 X 2-1/4 and the top portion of that adheres to the top folded over, (so that it will open.)  I hope between the pictures and the description, this makes sense! lol.  Next you can added designer paper and anything else you want, just remember that the ribbon is going to go over the image.  I had this major brain storm that Rudy would be scratching his head and wondering, "hmmm, I wonder what's in here?"

I used some Martha Stewart snowflake punches in the corners with some bling in the center, I used Echo Park - Winter Park 6X6 paper, some S.U. ribbon and colored Rudy up with my Copic Markers: YG95, YG93, BG10, E43, E42, E41, E00, E000, E000, E21, E93, R59,  R39, R37.

I hope you have a fabulous day and I cannot wait to see your uploads to the this challenge.  Remember, I totally have to case something from someone Else's 3D project the next time we have this challenge, so don't let me down, lol.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Happy Fall

Happy Tuesday and Welcome to another Tuesday Challenge Card from Loves Rubberstamps.
This week is all about Thanksgiving.  So stamp up your best Thanksgiving Theme card/Fall Card and play along with our challenge.  Laura is always slipping in extra sponsors here and there, so be sure to go to the Challenge page and read along to find about the PRIZES!

Have you been to the store lately?  She has Many, Many, Many new things in stock and continues to add new things by the week!  So you definitely want to stop by and check it out.

Okay on to my card.  I started with the MFT's weekly sketch challenge and I took liberties from there, lol.  I moved my tab to the other side, used a fence instead of a fishtail, and extended it to both sides.  Here is a list of everything I used, which is available in the store.

MFT Lil' Pumpkin PI
MFT- Die-namic grass border
MFT- Die-namic Fence Border
MFT - Primitive Pumpkins stamp and die set
Card Candi - Coffee Bean
Memento - Morocco and Tuxedo Black
Authentique - Thankful
Martha Stewart Punch - Branch Border
MFT - Mini Tab Foursome Die

I love cutting out those little pumpkins from the Primitive Pumpkin stamp and die set.  I think I might have to use those a few more times, lol.  Definitely breaking them out again for scrap pages and next years stuff too!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!  I cannot wait to see your entrees and leave you a comment.

Boys will be Boys

I made this for this weeks Challenge over at Totally Stampalicious.  Love this little Bugaboo Brat called Deacon Bugs.  I bought him a while back and have not inked him up yet, but no time like the present.  He is so adorable.  He looks like both of my boys.  The only thing is that neither of my boys are particularly found of bugs, lol.  But they liked to go out and play.  I colored him up with my Copic Markers and paired him with my BoBunny Camp-A-Lot collection 6X6 papers.

This weeks challenge is about Bling, so I added some rhinestones in the center of my flowers and colored them with my Y17 marker, lol.  I couldn't add too much, it's a boy card.  And yes, boys are meant for kisses and hugs, watching rainbows and catching bugs....even if they are just ladybugs, lol.  I love this sentiment much more than the traditional - boys are rotten, made out of cotton.  Like cotton is a bad thing?  I never understood that.  I LOOK for cotton clothes, maybe that's why I like my boys so much though, lol.

Thanks for Looking and for your Kind Comments.

On the fence Cocoa Trevo

Hi and welcome to another Week of the All That Scraps Challenge.  It's time again for "Anything but a Card"!  Somewhere in my vast hotmail account is a saved link to one of these that I saw sometime in September I believe.  They further linked the original designers Template, which I printed right away, (Thank Goodness!).  (.....I FOUND IT!!!! Whooo Hoooo, It's Jenny Peterson!)
As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to make at least one, lol.  Then I saw the preview for Cocoa Trevo!  And I thought, "Oh perfect, I'll make a KCup holder and put some of Jeep's Cocoa KCups in there.:  OMGosh is he not the cutest thing?

The initial template calls for a 2 inch top flap and so I added two inches to the length, (so instead of a 10 inch length, I made a 12 inch length).  A few score marks (as directed on the link) , snip - snip and I was off and running. I used my Spellbinder circles for the holes and ran it through my big shot twice.  I also used some score-tape for an extra secure hold.  And yes, those are Jr. Mints holding up the end there, lol.  For lack of a better prop in which to show you, lol

I  used the new "the four seasons fence" die for Cocoa Trevo to sit on, some Martha Stewart punch snowflakes, Icicle Border Die-namic and some Card Candi that I cannot seem to leave in the package, lol.  I colored the Icing Sugar with my Copics B10.  The designer paper is from Echo Park called Winter Park.  LOVE these cute papers in the 6X6 pad.  Oh and some Rhinestones to finish up.  I colored Trevo with my Copic Markers: E0000, E000, E00, E21, E93, E27, E25, E23, E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, R59, R37, R23, C1, C00, YG97, YG95, YG93, B99, B97, B(5, BG13, BG11, BG10.

So glad we are connected

Happy Tuesday! (Note:  For my fellow American's here in the States, the most important thing we can do today is get out there and vote.  Vote early, Vote Now!!!  While the glue is drying on your rolled roses, you will not be gone that long.)

Hope you are all having a great day.  It's Tuesday and time for another Challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps!  This weeks Challenge is Easy-Peasy, Anything Goes!  So no excuses not to uplink and let us see your fabulous creations and you get a chance to win a prize in the process.  There may even be a sponsor or two.  I have not inked up this adorable P.I. Paper Dolls image and thought it was about time.  I used this weeks sketch from the MFT's weekly challenge.  I let the paper do the banner for me and put a little ring around those adorable birds on the paper, I just did not want to cover them up.  I also used the Paper Dolls die-namic border.  And added some Card Candi - Coffee Bean. I cannot beleave I hand cut out the paper dolls she is holding to paper pierce, but I just had to, lol.

Have you been over to the Loves Rubberstamps Store lately?  Laura has added some really exciting stamps and some are on preorder so you can let her know which ones you want.  If there is a company you like, but do not see the stamp you are looking for, shoot her an email and ask her about it.

Recap:
Pure Innocence - Paper Dolls
Die-namic Paper Dolls
Card Candi - Coffee Bean
Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black
