Inspiration Challenge from a Pinterest Photo

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a new Challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog. This week we have a Pinterest Photo to Inspire you.

You can be inspired by the colors, the textures, the patterns, a design.  Whatever inspires you about this picture can be in your project.   Here is what I came up with.

I know, I did this fold last week, lol.   I had this fabulous East Wind Image in mind when I was making my card last week.  She is so great, I just love her and the expression on her face.  Of coarse she was going to say something sarcastic, and the Creative Vision Middle finger was just the saying I needed, "Ever have one of those days where your middle finger wants to answer every question?"  Of coarse I have those days! lol.   The Chandelier peaking out from the center of the card goes so well with her fancy dress and shawl.  My paper is a retired S.U. paper, something about Portraits.  The camera claimed blue but in real life it's a darker teal and I used my Copic Markers to match the colors: BG09, BG07, BG05, V17, V15, V12, R89, R39, R37, R35, and BG70 is the perfect outline color for her, it's the same shade of green only very light.  Her skin tones: E000, E00, E21, E93 and hair: E19, E97, YR24, YR21.

The East Wind

On behalf of the design team I would like to thank The East Wind for providing us such fabulous images!  I think I'm going to have to go back and pick up one of those grumpy cats, lol.

Be sure to check out all the New Items Laura has added to the store!

Thanks for checking in on me today.

Totes Ma Goats

Happy Holly-Day Monday!

I guess Totes Ma Goats means being overly excited and trying to act cool, lol. Well there is one thing for sure, this little goat is ADORABLE!!! I used to live on a farm in Oregon when I was a kid, for a spell, and we had a goat who gave birth to a kid. I thought it was very cute, but my Sister absolutely loved these goats. So I thought I would make up a whole mess of cards from this set just for her.

SugarPea Designs - Totes Ma Goats
Doodlebug Design 6x6 - Springtime

I don't think Laura has added the newest SugarPea sets, but I do know she is ordering them about once a month, so if you shoot her an email and ask her to add this set, I'm sure she would be happy to order it for you when her next order comes in. This means it might be a couple weeks or so before you get it, but you will get it. This is what the complete set looks like.

I have seen some seriously cute cards made with this set, so I was happy to pick up mine in a hurry.
There is still one more day to play in our Fancy Folds Challenge. I have seen some amazing folds that I cannot wait to try out! You may also want to check out the New Items in the store!
Thanks for Looking in on me today.

Fancy Folds

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I was waiting last night for the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge to close and I was getting sleepier and sleepier.  One thing led to another and the next thing you know, Joe and I both snoozing in the living room with the TV on.  I was watching Forensic something or another, but at least I know they usually solve it and catch the bad guy in the end, lol.  Anyhoo, I got up this morning and worked on the challenge blog to get this weeks challenge up.

This week at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge, we are asking to see your fancy folds.

This cute little fold is a remake of a card we did in our S.U. club.  It's 12 X 5 1/2.  It's scored at 2, 4, 8, 10 inches.  At the four and the eight inch, we cut diagonal to the 1 and the 12, both in equal parts.  We took the opposite side of the diagonal cut and glued it to the bottoms and viola, you have my fancy fold.

I would like to thank our sponsor Aurora Wings for the cute images they provided the design team, I really love this Strawberry Sprite.  And she was so much fun to color up.  So this weeks prize is a digi image from Aurora Wings as well as the store voucher, double prizes are always so much fun!

And speaking of coloring, I was inspired by Delphine's Place, and tried out some of her color combinations.  YG01, YG03, GY00, B10, YG17, YG67, E000, E00, e21, e93, R81, R83, R85, R35, R37, R39, R89, Y00, Y38, R05, YR04.  I loved her poppies and the orange that she used.

I can't wait to see your fancy folds!  I know Laura is catching up on orders and shipping, she has also added a couple things to the New Items that you can go check out.

Thanks for Looking and your kind Comments.

Happy Spring!

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a new Challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.   This week is Spring Theme.  I had this cute scene in my mind that just would not translate to my card, lol.   So I kept adding things and then decided I could not go back to the drawing board, better just put up what I have, lol.  I do love this adorable barnyard scene from our Sponsor this week, All dressed Up.  And this week we have another sponsor, QKR Stampede! And Laura is giving away a gift voucher to  Loves Rubberstamps,so that's an opportunity to win three prizes for playing this week!  Whoot!

Is anyone else on Spring Break this week?  My two are home this week and Joe and I are alternating our days off.  So I have blasting and happy squeals in the background as I am typing, lol.  They are busy away playing their video games.  I think I am going to plan a field trip this weekend.  They will need to get away from the electronics, lol.

I hope to see your fabulous creations on the challenge blog!

Purple Lilies

Hi Friends and Stampers,

How is your Monday going so far? I hope well! Does anyone get to stay home with the kids this week for Spring Break? I have a few days off this week, so excited!

It's my Holly-Day to show you some inspiration and actually I was the one who was inspired by Cindy Lawrence and her beautiful purple Lilies. So I used her colors and made my own card, lol.

MFT Lily Die-Namics - coming to the LRS store soon!
Doodlebug 6x6 paper - fruitstand

I love these lilies and plan on using them a lot this spring. I also love the sending thanks stamp set. I am still trying to figure out how best to adhere the sequins that I used, lol. I can see the shiny glue around them and I hate that, lol. I'll figure out something! Maybe it's time to make the perfect size glue dots from my Scraperfect Best Glue Ever!

I hope you have a chance to join us in our Current Challenge - 1980's theme, or if that doesn't sound interesting, there is always a new challenge tomorrow and I've seen a whole lot of cards out there that fits our next theme, lol.

Also, you will want to keep an eye out on the New Items page, Laura gets sneaky and likes to slip a few pages of new stuff in there in the middle of the night on me, lol.

Okay that's it for me today, go ahead, get inky!

Another Brick in the Wall meets MindCraft

Hello Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a new Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.  This week is 80's Theme.  I googled 80's and the Music Billboard for the top ten 1980 came up with "Another Brick in the Wall"  by Pink Floyd.  OMGosh I so remember these MTV video's, lol.

I know, sorry for the ear worm, lol.

MindCraft has these little multicolor bricks in them, so I decided to put some of Jeep's last Birthday Party together with mixing Another Brick in the Wall with Mindcraft.   I had downloaded some cool MindCraft digital paper I found on Etsy.   The Jeep came from a box that the Laser Tag rental people gave him with some treats in it.  So it found its way to the trash and I quickly reused it, lol.  Here are my Scrap Pages:

1980 BillBoard Top 10 - Another Brick in the Wall

The design team would like to thank Kenny K for providing us with awesome images for this Challenge!  And for being this weeks sponsor!

I really am loving using my stamps and dies in my scrap pages.  The just add a certain touch to them.  I made my own Creeper punch art on the Vertical Gift pocket Die and added some journaling hidden away on a Ticket Book die.  I had some "road" washi tape and I thought I was using camo washi but now that I look at it, it's more of a cow print, lol.  It works though.  The 80's were definitely a time of Cassette Tapes and Walkmans.  Pac Man and leg warmers.  Definitely a great time to be a teenager!

For Jeep's 11th birthday, we hired a laser tag company that came with 10 guns, vests and a Commando.   We decided to make our own shields with some large cardboard boxes that something or another came in, lol.   The kids painted their own Mindcraft blocks on them with some help from Dad.  The Castle and Wall boards were left overs from our Wedding.  Joe painted a beautiful castle scene and the archway here shows where we stood to get married.  We had a great time and I couldn't just let those go, the painting is fabulous.  So we kept them all these years and decided to go ahead and put them out so the kids would have other structures to hide behind.  They had a lot of fun that day and I still have many great pictures, so I think I might have to do some kind of project life theme with the rest of them.  I haven't done that before, but it's looking more and more necessary.

I cannot wait to see what you come up with for this weeks theme!

Time for Pizza!

Happy Holly-Day Monday!

It's my turn to show you some Inspiration over at the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.

Copic Markers Used: C7, C5, C3, C1, C0, R29, R27, R24, E000, E00, E21, Y15, Y17, E43, E42, E27, E25, E23, E11, E13.

I saw this cute paper over at a LSS store and I knew it would be perfect for my little pizza guy.  I have a ton of pictures of the kids on random days at Chucky Cheese, so I just added that journaling and the date on the other side checked panel.   I couldn't help myself, I had to use this months Sugarsketch again and make a matching pizza guy card.  He is one of my favorite images.  I just love him.

I promise to be over the Scrap Page Frenzy soon, but I am having such a great time and I have a ton more pictures to Scrap.  I love encorporating what I have in stamps and dies to the pages.   Have you used some stamps and dies in your Scrap pages lately?  To further inspire you, I want you to head over to the Loves Rubberstamps New Items!  I promise there is more goodies added to the store!

And be sure to join us in our New Challenge tomorrow where I am Yes, Again, making another scrap page layout! lol.

I'm not sure what it is but I do have the scrapping fever right now, so I am going for it! lol.   Today is there is a brand new challenge starting over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog, our favorite, Anything Goes!  This is last years birthday for Jeep, lol, when he turned 10, he is now 11.  I ran across these paper and thought it would be perfect for scrapping some of birthday pics we have.  I caught the pinada, but I missed the bouncy house we rented.... all the kids love to jump in a bouncy house, lol.  I love the balloons and word dies from MFT's, as well as the assortment of letter sizes and fonts you can get in die cuts now.   This one came together pretty quick and easy, but I will have to say that it does look better in real life.  The camera did not capture all the colors just right.
