Cute-a-tude

I made this for this months guest designer challenge at My Favorite Things.  I love this Pretty Party paper from Crate Paper.  I used the Pure Innocence Cute-a-tude gal.  I airbrushed my background and added some grass.  I used my flower die-namic from MFT's, as well as the mini tag which seemed to be out of stock for forever!  lol.   I love the mini tags, they are just the right size for a card and they come in a four pack, each having a slightly different design.  I also added some little pearls here and there.  I colored her with my Copic pens: E00, E21, E93, E000, E0000, E50, E51, E53, R29, E27, R24.  And I paper pierced her little dress.  I love using the same designer paper to make the little dresses and clothes.  The red card stock is from Papertrey Ink. Reminds me of paper dolls when I was a little girl.  My Grandmother always used to tell me I should grow up and be a designer, because I would use paper and color it and then cut it out to fit my paper doll.  Well, I am not sure I am the kind of designer she was thinking about, but I like to design the clothes on my stamped images, lol.

Thanks for looking and your wonderful comments.

Jeep's 1st little black book

Okay this is too cute not to share.  Jeep made an autograph book in his class and the teacher had them all go around and sign each other's autograph book.   When Joe picked up Jeep today, Jeep said, "Hey Dad, you know when guys have those books that have girls numbers in them?"  And Joe, (driving home), said, "Yeah, it's call a little black book."  And Jeep said, "Yeah, I got one of those now."  lol.  Apparently three female class mates decided to include their number with their autograph.  He has been so crushing on Trinity all year, he forgot to notice the other two little girls that really like him too.  Oh and Trinity added her number with an arrow to her name.  So cute!  So this summer, I think I am going to have to teach him how to use the phone....... lol.

My Card was Featured

I'm so excited, my card was featured on "lovesrubberstamps", a great on-line store!

I made this for There She Goes Sketch Challenge (TSG157).  I love this whole set of stamps, "Jungle Out there."  I had a lot of fun coloring him up.  Again, the grass idea is scraplifted from Delphine's blog.  I just added a little here and there.  I used my airbrush for the ground and the sky.  The designer paper is authentique Loyalty.  Found some pearls to match in my stash, added some twine and used my S.U. punch and word set.

Pretty Peony

I made this today for the Kraftin Kimmie Challenge which is a sketch challenge.  I love this cute image and I cannot seem to get enough of this Echo Park, Hello Summer paper.  Makes me happy.  I replaced the three flowers with three bee's.  They crack me up.  I used Orchid Opulence retired from S.U.  and Harvest Gold from PTI card stock. Brads from my stash and dies from MFT's.  I colored with Copics.

United States Postal Service at it's finest

I came home from work yesterday to find this in my mail box.  USPS plastic bag that says, "We care."  Should I send this in to Jay Leno?  It's a mangled package with a package receipt.  You can still see on the receipt, (bad photo) that the total cost was $8.50.  There was the packaging and the sales slip, but no die!  What happened to my die?  If they really cared they would have included the $8.50 in the package don't you think?

Wow, I think things have gone from bad to worse with our Postal system and no one seems to really care.  Plastic baggy or not, my mail that used to take three days to deliver, now takes up to a week and sometimes longer.  I ordered this die last month.  Which means it took them a whole month to let me know they destroyed my package but no, they don't really care enough to cover the cost of their own damage.

I'm sending my dear Husband down to the Post Office to chew on someones ear for a while.  It will make us both feel better, lol.

I think what bothers me the most is that all kinds of on-line retailers are starting to use alternate shipping methods to avoid the long delays and I am finding that it still takes just as long, if not longer, and the cost of shipping is getting higher and higher with all these changes.  The USPS does not need to cut more jobs, reroute more mail and raise the price of stamps again.  They just need to get better at doing their job.

Okay, climbing off my soapbox now. lol.

Added - Amber from Chic and Savvy Crafters insisted on giving me a partial refund for this even though I swore when I reordered that this was no fault of hers.  Thank You Amber!  So sweet and it was not even her fault.  From what I could tell, there were no tears or loose tape on the package at all.

Happy Mail

I made this for this weeks sketch challenge at My Favorite Things (MFTWSC72).  This stamp is a pure innocence called Happy Mail.  The background was airbrushed with my copics to match the to match my designer paper, Hello Summer, by Echo Park.  I added some brads and decided I needed  some small flowers, I used the S.U. punch for those.

The Happy Couple

wow, I threw this one together at the last minute.  Mostly because I wanted some more time to think about it, but times up! lol.   I made this for three challenges.  Card Patterns Sketch 165 (hey I may have a few minutes to spare, lol), Sparkle Creations SCRSC79, and The Color Throw Down challenge CTD192.

I used the sweet couple from Sparkle Creations.  New designer paper I got last week Authentique Carefree, with S.U. sage shadow and kraft.  I picked up a large rolls of score tape and bought a couple colors in Ritz glitter.  Then I colored over her dress with S.U. markers regal rose and melon mamba.  The rest I colored with copics.  Hey how about those snazy glitter pants, huh? lol.   I actually attacked his jacket with a spica pen, but it does not show up here as well.  And I used floral fusion die from S.U. for my flower.

Thanks for looking and your sweet comments.

A one layer card, can it be done?  Yes it can!  Thanks to my air brush for background clouds and a little pavement, lol.  After I masked my image with a sticky note that is.  Love this little Vroom Kraftin Kimmie gal, she cracks me up.  Reminds me of my Sister.

Sew Nice.... MFTWSC71, CTD191

Looking for my MoJo this week.  I decided to use the MFT's sketch challenge and color throw down challenge together again until I find my mojo.  I have lots of other cards I want to make.  I do love this Basic Grey paper, Wisteria.  It's my favorite and I've been hoarding it away, lol.  I also used, MFT's Sew Nifty stamps and dies.  I love that mirror paper I found at JoAnne's.  I used it for the thimble and I think I had better get back there and get a few sheets, I can see myself NEEDING more of this, lol.

Thanks for Looking and your wonderful comments.

Tea for You, MFTWSC70, CTD190

I put this together in a rush this evening, trying to make my dead line for the Color Throw Down and MFT's weekly sketch.  I will add something, not sure what, to that blank grey space, lol.  Maybe the teacup and saucer, who knows?  But for now, out of time and past bedtime....so what's new?

I cannot believe this weekend is already gone, it went by so quickly.  Jeep and I had the longest game of War ever!  Seriously lasted about 8 hours altogether.  We'd do what we had to and then get back to the game, lol.  I won!!!!  But OMGosh it was touch and go there for a while.  At one point I had no Aces, I won one in a war, won Two in a second war and won the last one in the last war.  Wow.  Today I helped Joe seat a toilet, lol, I don't know if I can say that very often.  We picked out some colors for the front bathroom and did a little shopping around, still in the planning stage.  But I had a great weekend with my guys.

Thanks for looking and your wonderful comments.

No matter where we go..... SCRSC78

I love these images from Sparkle Creations.  The little boys just make me so happy.  This one remind me of my son Jeep.  He is just like his Dad, always multi-tasking, hates to have one second of boredom, and always has at least three things he can be doing while he's waiting.  lol.

I made this just in the nick of time to upload to Sparkles sketch challenge.  I did have to tweak it a little bit though, the image is quite large, so I had to put the panels behind the image.  And I had to flip the sketch.  There a lot of details in these images and they can be a real challenge to color.  I was up for the challenge and colored a little bit each night this week.

Stamps: Sparkle Creations
Paper: Happy Day by simple stories
Color: copics
Card Stock: either S.U. or PTI or both, lol.
Brads are from my stash

Howdy Cowboy! MFTWSC69, CTD189

Better late than never! lol.  I made this for two challenges that are way beyond the time limits, but I wanted to finish it and send it off to my father-in-law for his Birthday.  I made this for MFT's weekly sketch challenge....last weeks, lol.   And for last weeks Color Throwdown Challenge.

As Joe and Jeep were waiting for me to get off work the other day, they headed to the boot barn and were trying on hats.  This picture of my son was taken with Joe's IPhone.  I thought it went perfect with my MFT's cowboy image and dies.  I was going to add some twine but it got to looking a bit busy.

The Cowboy is from My Favorite Things
The Paper is October Afternoon - I finally used it! lol.
I colored with copics.
Card stock is either S.U. or PTI - I don't keep track anymore, lol.
