Happy Birthday Joe

Hi,

I made a Birthday Card for my husband. Thank God for Pinterest, where I found a few of these ideas. The paper is from Michael's Recollections Christmas Plaids 6X6 pad. This is similar to a shirt my husband owns. The buttons were from my stash. We got him an Xbox gift card, but it's almost as big as the card, so I made him a smaller one for the pocket. The gift cards look better when they are tucked under the collar, but I had glued it at the wrong angle, had to correct it really quick and so the whole thing is glued down, lol.

The card size is A2. I took a 2X4 piece of designer paper and laid it over the top until it looked like a collar size to me, I used my pencil to mark the spot and cut it. Then I laid that collar over the darker card stock with the edges just slightly over and glued it down, then cut it from there. No fancy measuring for me, lol.  The pocket was made cutting a 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 card stock, and then a slightly smaller version with the designer paper. I found the center and placed a pencil mark. I then cut at a slight angle to make the bottom of the pocket and adjusted slightly to make the designer paper for the top. I punched a circle in green and a circle in white. After three tries trying to make that special little X out of the white, I decided this was good enough, lol. Hey, it's a hand made card.

Thanks for Perking me Up

Hi Friends and Stampers,

This is the last day of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop for Fall/Winter 2019. I had such a great time making cards for this blog hop and hopping along to see what everyone else made.

For these cards, I used My Favorite Things Image Grande-Sized Love. I paper pieced her with an older Carte Bella Paper line called Autumn and colored her with my Copic Markers. Hair: C5, C3, C1, Flesh tones: E0000, E21, E11, E93. Boots: E44, E43, E42, E41, Shirt: R39, R37. I added a bottom shadow with W3. Oh and I inked her up with my Memento Black Ink.

These are fun fold cards that I learned at our local Stampin Up Monthly Meeting. The base is an 8 1/2 X 4 1/4, scored at the 5 1/2 mark and fold. The middle fold is an 8 1/2 X 2 1/2 scored in half at the 4 1/4 mark and fold. Super fun and easy to make.

I hope to be able to join in on the Spring/Summer blog hop next year. For now, it's time to get started on my Christmas Cards for this year!

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your wonderful comments.

How to Make me Happy

Hi friends and Stampers,

Here is another card for the coffee lovers blog hop.

I am back with another coffee cup shaped card. You can find the tutorial for how to make these shaped cards here. I did not use the velco but rather glued the sides and made this a pull up card. This time I am using the adorable Birdie Brown's Friends at First Sip stamp set available at My Favorite Things.  I love these cute images. I paired it with the super fun Choose Happy stamp set available at Simon Says Stamps. I used an old paper pad from Carte Bella called Autumn to paper piece her shirt and pants. I did have to double stamp her hand and collar to add another layer to those. But it's worth the extra work.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for your wonderful comments.

Need Coffee?

Hi Friends and Scrappers,

I hope you are having a great time with the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop for this Fall/Winter 2019. I know I am!

For today's card, I am using The Greeting Farm's,  Need Coffee? I do not see this image on the website, so I am not sure if she is retired or if they are just sold out. Either way, she is totally adorable and reminds me of my Sister. As soon as I colored up the first one, my sister posted a pic with her new hair color, which is more of an Ashe Blond, so I colored up another one, lol. The puppy is from the the adorable Birdie Brown's Friends at First Sip, which is available at My Favorite Things. I do not have a fancy die that makes these card shapes and I couldn't remember how I did this a few years back, but I did see a You.Tube tutorial from Edith, that jarred my memory. Instead of using a velcro opening, I decided to glue both side and make it a pull out card.

I stamped my image in Memento Black Ink, and colored with my Copic Markers. I did not write down the images, but I can say for the hair: E43, E42, E41, E40, Skin: E0000, E11, E21, E93, Pants: C5, C3, C1. Cover up YG7, YG9. Eyes: B34, B91. I colored the cup and popped it up with a dimensional foam.

These were super fun to make and I hope you check out the tutorial and make some of your own.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for your wonderful comments.

Cafe Girl

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Welcome to my blog and I hope you are having a great time with this Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Fall/Winter 2019. I had so much fun making cards for every day and getting back into blogging. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity and the time to do this.

For today's card, I pair up Unity Stamps Dream of Being with Unity Stamps Cafe Delights. Half way through coloring I did notice the smudge in the sky, but I decided to keep on going, lol. I used my Copic Markers: Skin E0000, E11, E21, E93, Sweater E53, E51, E55, neutral grays for the sidewalk, and I forgot to write the rest down....sorry. I do know I used E07, E97, and E99 in some of the wood colors. I just love the coffee cup on the signs on the door. The design is intricate but it was a lot of fun to color this up. I plan on using this again, at least a few times. I think this cafe would look so cute on a scrap page.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving wonderful comments.

Have fun,

When Friends Gather For Coffee

Hi Friends and Scrappers,

I hope you are having a great time with the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Fall/Winter 2019. I am super excited to be able to be a part of this hop and grateful for the time I had to be able to make these cards in order to participate.

For these cards, I am using the super cute Birdie Brown Images called Sweater Weather in the Woods, available at My Favorite Things. I'm sorry I did not write down my Copic Marker numbers that I used for these images, but I did color them up with my copic markers after inking them up with Memento Black Ink. OMGosh what is better than a bunch of adorable animals wearing sweaters and drinking coffee? Love these! For the first background, I used the Knitted Sweater back ground stamp from My Favorite Things. I hand cute a snow drift and added some stickels to the top and bottom. For the second card, I used a pattern paper Carta Bella's Autumn Collection. I added a fence from My Favorite Things, which I do not see currently on their website. This is the closest I can find on a google search.

The little beaver image did not have coffee in his hands, but there was an additional cup of coffee in the stamp set. So I used my craft knife around his arms and paws until I could fit in a cup of coffee. Because you know, all friends have to have coffee. It would not do to have a critter with no coffee, that would just be sad, lol.

I hope you are having fun hopping around, thank you for stopping by my blog post and for the wonderful comments.

Coffee Party

Hi Friends and Crafters,

I hope you are having a great time with the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Fall/Winter 2019! I am super excited to be able to participate this time and every day!!!

OMGosh I do love Birdie Brown (Torico) illustrations and was so happy when she joined the My Favorite Things Team a while back. Every single image is a squeal moment for me, but I do love the whimsical images the best. So for this card, I used her Sweater Weather on Safari images. I colored them up with my Copics, which I am so sorry I didn't write them down to be able to give you a list. For the background, I used Tim Holtz Distress Water Color Paper. I sponged on Distress Ink in Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron (all available on Amazon and other stores) that I had seen done on this card. I added some water drops and applied a paper towel for the excess. Then I sprinkled on water colors from Kuretake, which I LOVE! I added a few My Favorite Things Birch Trees and leaves. For the tree's, I used my Prisma Colored Pencil to color around the divots in the tree. And I framed them with a Gina Marie Scallop Stitched Frame

Thank you so much for stopping by and for your wonderful comments,

Have a great day,

This Is A Job For Coffee

Hi Friends and Crafters,

OMGosh when I saw this retro coffee cup image from Riley and Company called Mr. Coffee, I knew I had to have him. He triggers an image I remember as a child from one of the restaurant menu's I have seen. I don't where and what, but I do remember loving this image when I was a little. The sentiment is from Lil Inkers Designs Super Coffee. I inked them up with my Memento Black ink and Versafine Clair black ink. The papers I used are from Echo Park Coffee Paper. The Dies I used to cut out the circles are from My Favorite things Stitched Circles and Circle Stax. The flag I just made myself because of the size of the sentiment. I colored my Mr. Coffee with my Copic Markers E43, E42, E41.

I hope you are having a great time blog hopping and thank you for stopping by my blog and for your wonderful comments.

Wake Up and Drink Coffee

Hi,

Thank you for stopping by my blog during this Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Fall/Winter 2019! I am super excited I'm able to participate every day.

For today's cards, I'm using Stamping Bella's Curvey Girl Loves Coffee. The little floor design was made by using My Favorite Things Stitched Basic Edges 1 Dies. For the floor I used some wood designer paper I purchased from Stampin Up which is no longer offered, but I do see a lot of wood paper and wood dies and embossing folders available out there now. The background paper is from Echo Park's Coffee paper pack

I cannot remember the designer or site I saw this on, but some fabulous person mentioned black striped stickers available to make a fine line of black without having to add more card stock. Unfortunately these stickers were only available from a store from another Country. The shipping costs prevented me from ordering them, but I got to thinking about this and researched some alternative. What I came up with is this art tape I found on Amazon. I did get four roles, which means I am going to be able to share with friends and I will probably never have to buy this again, lol.

I stamped my Curvy Girl with Black Memento Ink. I colored her using my Copic Markers. For her hair, I used E43, E42, E41, E40, I used Y15 on one of the images. The eye guard R85, R83, R81. The night shirt BG13, BG11, BG10. The flesh tones: E0000, E11, E21, E93. Coffee: E55, E53, E51. Clock: N2, N3. Y17. I also added some glossy accents to the clock face. I added shadow with W3.

Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments. I hope you are having a great time!

Imma Coffee Kinda Girl

Hi,

Thank you for stopping by my blog. If you stopped by here first, make sure you go to the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop 2019 line up. So much fun!

For today's card, I am using CC Designs Business Bella. I just love this image and the way she is  showcased in their on-line store. So I stamped her up with my Memento Black Ink and pulled out my Copic Markers to match the Purples as much as possible. I used V15, V12, and V01 for the blouse, phone, shoes, and Coffee embellishment. I colored her hair with E43, E42, E41, and E40. I added some C3, and C2 to her pants. The coffee she is holding was colored with E51 and YG97. Her belt and buttons were colored with Y28. And the flesh tones were colored with E0000, E11, E21, E93. The pattern paper is from Echo Park's Paper pad, Coffee. Oh I added W3 for a shadow under her feet. The sentiment and coffee cup (E55, E53, E51) come with the image.

I am definitely a coffee kinda girl. And I super excited to be able to participate in this fall/winter blog hop. I hope you have a chance to play along and see some exciting projects made by the Coffee Loving Community.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your comments.

Caffeine Powers Activate!

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. If you started here, make sure you check out everyone's fabulous creations at the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I am super excited to be able to participate this year. For my card, I used a mixture of products. The Image is from Lil Inkers Designs, Super Coffee. I used Papertrey Ink's Comic Strip Die. The Cats Pajamas Boom! Cuts and Comic Balloons. The Skyline is Paper Smooches Super 2 Die. Sunny Studios Herotic Halftones.  I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink - still my favorite. And the words were stamped with Versafine Clair - which I recently discovered and absolutely love for all images not being colored with Alcohol Ink. I colored my image with my Copic Markers: E43, E42, E41, E40, R59, R39, R37.  I had some high gloss paper in my stash called Yellow School Bus, Which I love, but can't seem to find anywhere for sale on line. I think I just had a little sample strip from one of the vendors who I bought something from on Ebay. That may have been over 10 years ago, lol. If anyone knows where to get this high gloss paper, let me know, it's perfect for the little windows because of the shimmer it creates when the light hits it.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for all the fabulous comments. I hope you have a great day hopping along!

I'm Back

Hi Friends,

Wow, what a past few years it has been. I had no intention of not keeping up on card-making and blogging but life had other plans. And I've had some great experiences, but I have missed this.

Now that I am off the fast lane, I have time to enjoy card making and blogging again. I hope to do be able to get into some Scrap-pages as well.

During my hiatus, I did enjoy looking at all the designers fabulous creations and picked up some things along the way, lol. I do enjoy the gathering as much as I do the creating, lol.  That being said, some things have come and gone since my absence. I plan on using what I have collected, as well as what I already had, plus what I am currently collecting. So there will be a mix of old, new, and somewhere in between. I do admire and appreciate the scrappers who purge their stash, but so far, I have not done a very good job at this, lol. I actually regretted the few times I did purge some things.

Picture quality on my photos will not be the same. Sadly we were broken into, robbed, and vandalized earlier this year (yes, it's been a tough year and I'll be glad to see it come to an end). One of the items stolen was my camera, which was old but it worked perfectly for my set up taking pictures of cards. So I am down to my Iphone 8, which takes pretty good pictures, but I can't set it up on my Tripod - yet. But that is not going to stop me moving forward and I will replace the camera eventually, or figure out something else to do in my current situation.

So my next post will be November 1st and I hope you join us for the:
