Monster Birthday

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I got in a silly mood and I've seen these Monster Cards on Splitcoast Stampers and more recently on Operation Write Home on Facebook, so I wanted to make my own (punch card) Die-Card.

It's time for a New Challenge at Loves Rubberstamps.  Let's celebrate (birthdays, weddings, new baby etc).   I'm Celebrating a boys Birthday.  The little teeth die came from Blueprints 15, The eyebrows are from the Suit and Tie set.  And you know every monster has a chevron tongue right? lol.  He was quick, easy and fun to make.

Thank you for checking in with me.  How is your summer going?  It's very near the fourth of July, any big plans?

Otterly Great Birthday

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a fine Holly-Day Monday and my turn to post over at the Loves Rubberstamps Blog.  Today I am sharing a Video Tutorial I came across on Happy Thoughts and Inkspots.  I just happened to have that Grunge Stamp as well, lol.

Lawn Fawn - Year Five
Another yellow to substitute for Distress Ink - Squeezed Lemonade
Water color Paper
White Embossing Powder

The Newest Lawn Fawn has not been added to The Loves Rubberstamp Store just yet.  Laura is plugging away to get caught up on Shipping Orders, and then will tackle the emails she is behind on, and then when things start to balance out, she will be adding the newest items.  In the mean time, if you would like to order this, feel free to shoot her an email and she will get back to you as soon as she can.

The first time I tried this technique, I had a piece of PTI heavyweight card stock and the colors were very bold.  So I went to my stash and I did have some water color paper.  So I pulled it out and tried a lighter touch and yes, the paper made all the difference in the world.  I think I'll keep working on the technique as I do love the effect.

I hope you all have a great day!

Let It Go

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Can you believe I did a two page layout?  And not for me, lol.   My Co-Workers little boy is so funny.  He watched "Frozen" over and over and one day he picked up a towel and put it on his head and declared he was Elsa.  When I saw the pictures, I laughed and laughed.  I saw this two page layout kit from ShoeStrings and knew I had to make this for her.

The pictures on the First half are when he finally did get to meet Elsa at Disneyland and of course he was shy and wouldn't look at her.  lol.   I love the crazy things kids do.  The kit was laser cut onto a 12 x 12 and I had to punch out the pieces to assemble in black and then the different colors.  Some what tedious but it was great fun and I love the little characters.  I added stickles to the mix and omitted a couple things.

Now I do have a LOT more kits to put together for myself, lol.   So I will be working on that shortly. I had this New Resolution that I would do a layout a month, lol.   So this one counts!  lol.   Now I'm only 4 behind for the year and it's was date? lol.

I hope you have had a great father's day!

Roaming Over

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I made this for my Dad for Father's Day.  I used The Alley Way stamps, Buff and Wigwam to create the scene.  I decided to go with a Bokeh background again.  I sponged in some Distress inks to set a scenery and then sponged the white over.  I colored the images with Copic Markers.

I"m entering in the Simon Says, use your Favorite Technique Challenge.   I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

You + Me

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Monday!  It's my turn to show you some inspiration over at The Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.

Today is Joe and I's,  13 Anniversary!  We both work but I think we might watch TV and fall asleep together tonight, lol.

I saw these two stamp sets used together on the Lawn Fawn Blog and had to come up with my own design.  The paper is much lighter but got darker in my picture.

These past 13 years have been so filled with life and love.  There is literally never a dull moment here, lol.   Even when Joe and I would prefer dull, lol.  But the thing is, I would not have it any other way.

I hope you have a scrappy day!

Spots and Dots

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for another Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Blog.  This week, we are asking for you to show us your Spots and Dots.  Here is what I came up.

Doodlebug Designs - Ghouls and Goodies

Oh I had so much fun making this one.  Mr Camera was being a bugger and did not show the flowers off in the purple they are in real life, they look blue here but really they match the sequins I used on this card.  lol.  I love using just a small piece of the background die Morocco, it's the perfect vine builder.

I can't believe how fast this month is zipping by already.  I need to take the kids out on a hike and to the beach and do some fun summer stuff before it passes us by.  Life goes by so quickly.  What are your summer plans?

I can't wait to see your spots and dots submitted in the challenge!

Thanks for looking in on me today.

Chilly Willy

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Monday!  It's my turn to post on the Loves Rubberstamps Blog and show you some inspiration.  Now this stamp set is not uploaded in the store quite yet, but it will be soon and I just had to use it.

MFT BB Penguins in Paradise

I am so addicted to making Shaker Cards!  But they are so much fun, lol.   I airbrushed over a stencil for the sunshine, colored up my penguin with my copic markers and added some Glossy Accents because everyone knows they are slickery.  There are a set of matching dies that will listed as well, but I did not pick those up yet, so I am fussy cutting.  I colored the flower and added it to the top for some interest.

I have had way too much fun making cards this weekend and I did manage to get to the grocery, wash the dogs, and get the laundry done, so Yeah!  I feel all productive now, lol.  I am behind on comments and the bloggers I follow, so I will have to spend some time each evening this week to catch up and see other fabulous creations.

I hope you have had a chance to play in this weeks Challenge, it's every one's Favorite!  Anything Goes!

Have a Great Day and I will see you tomorrow!

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop #3

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Two posts, One day, and they are all about the Coffee.  I love it!  This is my third submission to the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.   I hope you have time to Hop around and see all the wonderful Coffee Cards and projects out there.  Or you could make your own and submit it for a chance to win a prize!

This time I wanted to make something clean and simple.  And Summery but Masculine, lol.

So How did I do? Would you give this card to a guy?  Even though it's intended to be masculine, it is so me.  I say this nearly every day while the kids are hopping around all chipper and my husband is talking to me.....I NEED SOME COFFEE FIRST. lol.

Again I am using my Coffee First set from Create A Smile.  I am super stoked that I have made three cards from this set so far.  All different looking and I do love these images. On top of the PTI paper I used, I placed a stencil called Mini Splats from The Crafters Workshop - it's available on Amazon.  I Sponged Two Distress Inks, Tea Dye and Brushed Corduroy over the stencil and stamped the words with MFT Colorbox Black Licorice - love the coverage this gives.  I stamped my Coffee Cup with Memento Tuxedo Black (Copic Friendly) and Colored up my Cup with Copics.

Thanks for Stopping By...

Holly

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, #2

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I'm having a lot of fun making Coffee Cards this weekend, lol.   This is my Second Card I made the the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. For my second Coffee Card, I decided to have some fun with the Create A Smile - Coffee First set again. I love this set and I'm so excited I got to use it again.

I am so addicted to Shaker Cards now, I almost want every one of my cards to be a shaker card now, lol.  I gathered some fun colored sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I made my own Coffee Mix with two sizes of Espresso, small Gold, Two sizes of Sand, small Metallic and added some Silver Metallic Pop Microbeads. I used my MFT Die-Namics Stitched Circle Stax  and MFT colorbox Black Licorice ink. I colored my Latte with my Copic Markers.  The Papers are Bo-Bunny - Barefoot & Bliss Collection.

I'm using the MFT Card Sketch for this week.

Coffee Warms My Heart

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I'm late for my post today.  It's my turn to show you some inspiration for Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.  This weeks Challenge Theme is Coffee, Tea, or a Favorite Beverage, so I am using my Coffee Cup Die again.  This time I paired it with the Polka Papers and I love these dots and stripes together.  I used some pieces from my Blueprints Die-Namics which is my go to all the time, love all the different dies you get in each set.  They are designed to use together or alone or mix and match.  I love the little words die and found it so much easier to get them out in an organized fashion.

My Sister is here visiting from New Mexico, so I'm going to keep this short and sweet.  I hope you are having a fabulous Monday.
