The Easter Bunny is Coming to Town.....

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Monday. I know, I know, me too. But I hope I can provide you with some inspiration for when you do get a little time to get inky. It's my turn to post over at The Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog. I actually made a card that inspired another Scrap page layout! I have now double the number of scrap pages I've done in a year! Whoot. Okay, don't be too impressed, it's only a few, but I do have the Scrapping Fever now, so you can expect at least one more, lol.

Here is my card for you today:

My Copic Colors are: G24, G21, G20 - for the greens, C1, C0 - shading on the bunny, R81, R83, R85 - Pink dress and hat, E25, E23, E21 for the little bunnies, RV00, RV10 for the cheeks and in the ears. So I sat back and loved this one. It's simple but it's so Easterish. And I thought about what I would do with this One Big Hoppy Family set on a scrap page layout. So I did it.

I used the basket, the marshmallow looking bunnies and the eggs from the Woven Basket Die-Namics. I have a system I use when I am cutting out multiples of the same and so it's all assembly line work, lol. Here is a close up of the stamps I used on the layout:

I added some glitter to the Letters, Numbers, Bow and Eggs, but it's not really showing up on these pictures. The additional Copic colors I used are: E35, E34, E31 for the smaller bunnies, Y35, Y13 for the eggs, B91, B93. I do have an airbrush but sometimes I just like to sponge on some Memento Cantaloupe and Tangelo for a warm sunny feel. I also dearly love punch art and I have seen this bunny on several cards at Splitcoast Stampers. I am not too sure who to give the credit to, but I did shamelessly KopyKat it and added the ears and the pom pom tail to it.

This may be the first time I scrapped a layout for an event that hasn't taken place, lol. I'm so years behind that sometimes it's just good to look ahead and now I know I have to have six really good pictures! lol.

Thanks for Looking and I hope I have inspired you today.

Holly

Hello and Happy Camper

Hi Friends,

I am hoping to getting around to seeing everyone's creations and blogs today.  So much to get caught up on after being out of it for a few days, errr weeks.  This is the worst allergy season yet for me.  I am not sure what's worse, backed up sinus with headache and vertigo or nose running a mile a minute.   Anyhow, I should be building up some tolerance or running out of histamine soon, lol.

I went over to the My Favorite Things Blog to check out this weeks sketch and ran into a whole lotta inspiration.  Now I've come a long ways from my beginnings where all I could do was KopyKat another persons design.  But sometimes it's so perfect, there is no need to change it.  When I saw Melody's card as the sample for the sketch I was IN LOVE!  I don't know who made up the rules that you have to change a few things, but I did change a couple things, lol.  Here is my version of her fabulous card.

I love this one!  But you know, I can't just KopyKat and submit it into this weeks sketch, lol.   So I did make one of my own from the sketch:

MFT - Roughing It (coming soon to the store)
MFT Die-namics - Happy Camper (coming soon to the store)
MFT Die-Namic Teardrop Tree
MFT Die-Namics Layered Leaves
We R Memory Keepers - 6x6 Happy Camper
Washi Tape - road
S.U. Ink Chocolate Chip

I guess that's not really a spare, but I was suppose to use the other shape cut out.  I watched the video after I put this together, lol.

Lastly, there is a video from Jennifer McGuire with a lily tutorial.  OMGosh she has such great tips, you have to watch this video!  The tip about the painters tape alone has changed the way I am thinking about I'm going to color my smaller die-cuts with my Copics.  So I went ahead and made one from her tutorial myself.

Now you can't see the hint of glitter, but I did also use my Wink Of Stella clear pen.  I am so in love with this.  I picked it up at the Expo and now I think I have to use it on everything, lol.

Okay, well that's the end of my KopyKat's and showing my sketch for this week.  I hope you are having a great day and can get inky!

Feel Better

MFT Umbrella Sayings
Carte Bella 6X6 Pad - Wildflower

Good Morning Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge!  This time we want you to show us your Ugly Papers.  I do not care for the Sequins paper in my Carte Bella pack.  I don't know why, I just think they should be shiny if they are going to be sequins, lol.   So as with all the papers I don't care for, they either become a flower that I spray the heck out of with Shimmer Mist or they become leaves or a back panel to layer with another large panel, lol.   What do you do with your ugly papers?  A lot of mine stay in the packs unused, so I was glad Laura came up with this Challenge.

Have you seen the New Items in the store yet?  I know Laura is going to start adding New Items as soon as she can.

I hope to see how you use your ugly papers and your fabulous projects!

Halloween 2013

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Monday, I hope everyone in blog land is having a great day. It's my turn to show you some inspiration over at Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog. I am a card maker by nature but lately I have been trying to get some scrap pages made and all my dies and goodies available at Loves Rubberstamps, sure make it a lot of fun. Before very much more time past, I wanted to Scrap last Halloween.

Copic Markers YR18, YR23

Okay, so I have been hunting and gathering dies and supplies for a while, lol. I love shopping for new supplies at Loves Rubberstamps because Laura carries many different companies and I like to mix and match. I have so many photo's I want to scrap, so hopefully you will start to see many more scrap pages from me, lol. Crossing my fingers! lol.
I love how the picket fence and the house match the ones in the paper. I stamped my ghost on vellum and colored the other side with my Copic Markers. I also bought the 6X6 pad and I was able to use some of those scraps for the leaves too.
Don't forget to check out our current challenge, you still have a few hours to play and tomorrow will bring a whole New Challenge!
Thanks for Looking in on us,
Holly

Coloring on Glitter

Hi Everyone,

I know, heavy post blogging day, lol.   I have one more project to show you today from the Anaheim Scrap Expo.  My friend and I signed up for one class, Coloring on Glitter.  We paid $21.00 and that included the class and admission.  So for $21.00 we shopped all day and did the make and takes I have shown you and everything in the class.  Our class was from Krazy Kreations.  It was a one hour class and our kits included everything we needed to finish up at home.  And we did need to finish up at home, but I only spent a couple hours finishing these up.

This is a Journal we made.  We used Elizabeth Craft Design stickers and burnish them onto the glitter sheet and then colored them with B00 and B05, as well as G99 and YG01.  They also sell the metallic sheet paper.  I love that we used a paper straw!  You can see some shimmer but in real life this just sings it's so blingy.

This is the card in the kit.  I did add the negatives from the dots in the sticker set.

This is a Pillow Box that would be perfect for holding a gift card for someone.  I added some of the black dots from the sticker set to the design.  I also had some bling in my stash to add to the centers.

So what a bargain huh?  But don't feel too bad for them, they had a store set up in the back and I had to take advantage of my new found love for coloring on glitter paper! lol.   Thanks for a great class Kara!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Acrylic

Hello Stampers,

While my friend and I were at Scrapbook Expo In Anaheim, we stopped by the Clear Scraps make and take.

So this was fun.  I can find some like colors and do the backside as well and call it a page.  I hadn't worked that much with Acrylic and I LOVE IT!  I had to go purchase some of my own so I can make an Acrylic Album or something.  This was just so fun I had to share.

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a new Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog, - Use Corrugated Cardboard (or faux with Kraft Paper and a Crimper) - Sponsor A Random Fan

A Random Fan

Isn't she adorable?  And she is coming to Rubber at the Loves Rubberstamps Store!!!  I had a lot of fun coloring her up and thought the Hit the Road Border would be perfect to use with her.  I cut out the Staggered Heart Border and then used one of the Negatives hearts and threw it in my crimper.  I also Crimped up the main panel and the Flag Stax cut outs.

Copic Colors: R85, R83, R81 for the pink car, E19, E97, YR24, YR21 for the hair, E09, E08, E07 for the bottom suitcase, E000, E00, E21, E93 for her skins, E44, E43, E42, E41, E40 for her hat, the dog, and the license plate, BG10, BG11, BG13 for the top suitcase on the right, B12, B01, B00 for the outside window, B95, B93, B91 for the luggage in the middle, R29, R27, R24 for the shirt, heart and hat band. Gnome Sweet Gnome

Hi Everyone,

It's my turn to show you some inspiration over at the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.  I made this SugarPea Gnome Home and used the Deconstructed Sketch this week.  I am so excited Laura added this SugarPea company to her store!!!  Go check them all out Here:

I love this little Gnome Home and I had fun coloring this up.  I airbrushed the clouds and the grass.  Here are my colors: E40, E41, E42, E43, E44 for the trim of the house. E49, E47, E27, E25 for the door.  R02, Y26, Y28 for the knob and hinges. R29, R27, R24 for the flowers and snail.  YG97, YG95, YG93 for the greenery.  For the snail body I used G43 and YG63.  I colored the windows with BG10 although in retrospect, I wished I would have colored them a soft yellow, because it would have added to the dimension instead of looking like a front of a house, lol.  I airbrushed the sky with B12.

I have a couple people I have gotten into Copic Coloring, so I am listing the colors for them and for anyone else interested.  I know, sometimes I do and sometimes I do not, lol.  But I'm trying!

I hope your Monday is going well and your week is off to a good start.  There is a little bit of time left to play in this weeks Challenge - All about Green.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

Gold, Purple, and Green

Hi Everyone,

Irina from La La Land Craft's has given me the biggest challenge!  lol.   Her Challenge this month is to create something using Gold, Purple, and Green.... I'm thinking for Mardi Gras.  I had to think about this one a lot.

La La Land Inc - Taiko Drummer Boy
Carte Bella 6X6 Paper - wildflower

I colored up his head band and trim in Y28, Y26, Y21 for the gold, I colored his shirt BV08, BV17, V22, V25 for the purple and I saw on someones blog that they had cut out and used the negative of a grass die to airbrush some grass, I used YG03 and then at the bottom I airbrushed G07.  The hair and the pants I colored with C7, C5, C3.  The drum, drummets and the shoes were colored with E40, E41, E42, E43, E44.  The trim of the drum was colored in E27, E25, E23.  His skin was colored with E31, E34, E37.  That took me a couple tries because it's not my standard Caucasian colors, lol.  I put a little paper mask over him that I cut out of scratch paper and I colored B00 around him. I grass I had cut out, I airbrushed again in YG03 and G07.  I decided to use silver brads instead of Gold because I didn't want them competing with his clothing, lol.

We are having the laziest Saturday and it feels so good to be doing nothing but coloring and laundry.  I do need to russle up some dinner for my guys, but I wanted to get this uploaded quickly.

For my sketch, I used this weeks Sketch Saturday and rotated the sketch.

Thanks for Looking,

Holly

Thank You - CAS

Hi All,

Just a real quick post to get this weeks MFT's sketch card uploaded.  I love this weeks sketch, it was perfect for me because I have done four cards in the past couple days and I needed one of them to be CAS, lol.   I found this blue paper in Carta Bella Wildflower 6X6 pad, I thought it would be perfect to cover up with my midnight blue cardstock but it lacked a certain something.  So I got out my bottle of MFT Mixables Mist and sprayed it all over.  Viola, just the certain something it needed.  You cannot really see the shimmer too much in the photo, but it just sings.... lol.   I added the same dp to the top and stamped the Thank You onto it.  But I did not spray this one.  I did, however, use some MFT Color Box Midnight Blue and OMG, I love this ink.  Such great coverage!  I am usually a dye hard Memento Fan, but I decided to go ahead and try a few colors and I do LOVE it!  It's not Copic Compatible so it's put away until I take it out and my trusty Memento is still on my desk, hasn't been replaced yet, lol.

Thanks for checking in on me today.  Loves Rubberstamps carries most of the line of MFT's.  Go check it out!

Send in the Clowns

Happy Tuesday Friends and Stampers,

It's time for a new Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog- show us your green.  The Design Team would like to Thank our sponsor this week,  Rick St. James for providing us with fabulous images.

Rick St. Dennis

I had a lot of fun coloring up these clowns with my copics: G40, G43, YG63, YG03, B97, B95, B91, R29, R27, R24, Y13.  I even colored the balloon i(YG63, YG03) inside my card after I cut it out with my Party Balloon Die.

I don't know, would they work for a zombie birthday theme? lol.   They certainly are creepy looking but I wanted to dress them up in bright colors.  I love the MFT Party Balloons set.  I left it at Happy and then I can add birthday or Day or whatever I want when I go to use the card.

Everything is green outside and my allergies are in full gear.   The allergens are laughing at my little allergy pill and decongestant, lol.  My nose and eyes are either running to the point of going through boxes of tissue or my head now feels like a bowling ball and my neck is refusing to carry it for a long way.  I'll be glad when this passes but at the same time, I am enjoying the blooms and the change from winter to spring.

I hope you have a chance to pop over to the store and see if Laura added any New Items!  She has been through a tough month with family situations, but she is still adding in fits and starts and they are all really super cute items.   You'll want to play in our weekly challenges for a chance to win a gift voucher and also you can hop along on our Sunday Inspiration Blog Hops.   You have all week to hop along and once a month, Laura picks a winner from the blog hop entree's.

Thanks for Looking in on me and I hope you have a great day!

I had fun coloring up this cute PI, I used Copic Markers: B99, B97, B95, R29, R27, R24, E25, E31, E50. I also love the dies in the World Traveler set and plan on using them again and again.

Robot Hello

Waving Hi to all my friends and stampers in blogger land,

It's time for a New Challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps, and it's our favorite one - Anything Goes!  The design team would like to thank this weeks sponsor, Scrapper's Delights, for providing us with cute images!

Scrapper's Delights

I did fall in love with this cute robot and cannot wait to use him on a scrap page with pictures of the boys.

There's a lot to say and no time to say it, lol.  I went to the Pinewood Derby races tonight.  Jeep won two trophy's and is thrilled with his car that painted "mindcraft" of course, lol.  Now I must go over all the money and orders collected for Reed's school fundraiser, lol.   They keep me hopping, that's for sure.

Thanks for checking in on us!

Snappy Birthday

Hello Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Monday! It's my turn to post over at the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.  I hope the start of week is a good one! Today I am using the New Camera die from MFT and the Sentiment from Picture this that goes with this die. I love all the sentiments and it was hard to choose which one I wanted, lol. I did find some Washi Tape that I knew would go perfectly with these. Did you know this weeks current challenge is all about Washi Tape? I hope you have a chance to join us, there are just a few more hours left to get your projects in.

Have you had a chance to look at the NEW ITEMS that Laura has added to the store? You don't want to miss out on the new products and you want to get your preorders in soon!

I whipped this cute little card up in an hourish. It may have taken over an hour because I was surfing on Facebook, lol. Otherwise, this one came together very quick and easy. I love sentiment and dies when I am not in a coloring mood.

Be sure to join us tomorrow for our New Challenge over on the Challenge Blog.

Thanks for checking in on us,

Holly
