Hello and Happy New Years!

As many of you will be drinking the bubbly, I will be blowing the bubbly with my husband and son, lol.  It's a fun life.  I will be tired from staying up til midnight (which is why I prescheduled this post, lol) but not hung over in the least, lol.  The older I get, the more I appreciate the mornings where I don't feel like dying, lol.  I hope your New Year starts out fun and safe!

Angel Marci with Lyre

Happy Holly-Day Friday!

Whoo Hoo, it's Friday already and this is an end to a short work week huh?  I'm actually working Friday and Saturday, back to work on Monday and then off for a few days.  What a way to celebrate a New Year!!!   And speaking of New Years, this card also fits in our current challenge New Years Theme.  Have you played along?  I hope so, but if not, you still have time to make a card and play along with us.  There are prizes to be won!!!  Saturated Canary is our sponsor, so you don't want to miss out on that prize!!!

So this is for my Friday Inspiration post over at Loves Rubberstamps.  I am using Angel Marci with Lyre.  How do you say "Lyre"?  lol.  I'm not sure, but she is a cute little Angel.  A New Year Angel wishing us all Peace on Earth.  And I do wish for that as well.  Wouldn't it be great if we all could come to an agreement on our differences, learn how to live with those differences and put an end to all war?  Our children would be safe, we would be happy and the future of all man-kind would be so blessed.  That is my wish for all of us.

These are the products I used today:
Angel Marci with Lyre - La La Land Crafts
MFT's Mini Tab Quartet Die-Namic
Memento Ink - Black Tuxedo
Best Glue Ever
6X6 pattern paper

Thanks so much for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Valentine Chocolate

Hello and Welcome to my reminder post that it's, "anything goes" for the All That Scraps Challenge.  Today I used the newly released Mashi Muffins Sweets Stamp. And colored her in with my Copic Markers.  I decided to keep her Clean and Simple and added the border around my card.  I have seen many people do this on SplitCoastStampers and so I wanted to try it out.  I used my Copic MultiLiner pen.

I hope you can play along with us this week.  Just pick out your favorite image available at the All That Scraps Store and make a creation and upload.  I cannot wait to see what you make!

Today is my youngest son's birthday.  He is 10 today.  So out with the Christmas decor and in with the Birthday banner, the cupcakes and a whole new reason to celebrate today, lol.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Christmas and has a little one to celebrate with today.  There is nothing better than kids waking you up way to early in the morning so they can OPEN PRESENTS!!!I will be blessed this year having my three children and grandson to celebrate with, and my wonderful husband and my mother.  May your Christmas goodies be plentiful and calorie free, lol.  I hope everyone gets what they want for Christmas this year.  If there is something you have been wanting and didn't find under the tree, chances are it's in the Loves Rubberstamps Store - so take that Christmas money and go spend it! lol.

Today is not only a huge celebration for many, it's also a new week for the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge.  This week we are celebrating the New Year.  So anything that resembles celebrating the New Year is good!  And we have a very special sponsor to sweeten the deal - Saturated Canary!!!  I would like to thank Saturated Canary for providing the Design Team with a fabulous image.  I actually am not using the image provided, lol.  Yeah and I picked it out and everything, lol.  I decided I wanted to use Bubbles on my card, so I bought this image and it was so easy to download and get started.

I printed her directly onto my 6X6 designer paper and printed her again on my paper for alcohol ink.
I added a CC Design Corner Banner, and stamped that with my MFT's banner numbers.  I am not going to mention the fact that I totally spaced out what year it was and had to recut the middle pieces and start over, lol.   I also added some yummy card candi pieces - Ritz

I hope you enjoyed today's post and have a few minutes to go on over and check out my fellow design team members Challenge inspiration.  I cannot wait to see your New Years cards.  Do you have a New Years Resolution?  My New Years resolution is to continue on my 26 Random Acts of Kindness.  People all over the world are participating in this and I think it's the most wonderful thing that can come from such tragedy.

I would also like to dedicate this post to my Cousin, Sonia, RIP.

Thank you for your Looking and for your kind Comments.

Christmas Elf Marci

Happy Holly-Day Friday!

Are you off this weekend?  I am too!!!  Whoo Hooo.   I have all kinds of last minute things I need to do this weekend.  No rest for the weary eh?  Ah but it's all in fun.  Fun for the little ones.  I may have to take a few minutes here and there to get my DT cards made for next week though, lol.  Seems like so much to do and soooooo little time to do it.

This week I am sharing my Friday Inspiration Card for Loves Rubberstamps.  I have used Christmas Elf Marci from LaLa Land Crafts.  I inked her up with Memento Black and colored her with my Copics.  I used some Doodlebug Design paper and added some brads. This sketch is from the Tuesday Morning Sketches, and it's just perfect for her.

This weeks challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog is all about Christmas.  There is still time to play.  I'd love to see what you create.  So come on over and play with us when you get a minute or two to just relax and stamp.  Also take a minute to see the new and exciting things Laura has added to the store.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Thoughts and Prayers

Our hears are breaking today for these poor children, parents, loved ones and all others victimized by today's tragedy.  Native American's believe all children are to be treated as one of their own and while I cannot pretend to know the pain and suffering felt by these poor parents and loved ones, I can pay my respects and offer thoughts and prayers to them today.

Let it Snow....

Happy Holly-Day Friday!

I seem to be having a bit of Internet problems tonight as I'm posting this.  That's what happens here if California when it rains, lol.  I don't know how the rest of the country stays in touch when it snows, but we'd be out of commission that is for sure, lol.   This weeks Theme Challenge at Loves Rubberstamps is - Let it snow, winter theme.  So I kept with this this weeks theme. I hope to see your fabulous creations uploaded to this challenge!

I used Autumn Marci La La Land on my card today and stamped her up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I cut her out of the box with my Spellbinders's Oval die-cut.  I colored her with my Copic Inks.  I used a Provocraft embossing folder, well, two of them actually - snowflakes and swiss dots.  I had some ribbon in my stash and the paper I used is from the BoBunny Mistletoe Collection.  I threw on some Rhinestones for a bit of bling and viola, I was done.  Oh and I glued it all down with the best glue ever!   All available at Loves Rubberstamps - if you see something you like that is not in the store, drop Laura an email and ask her about it.  In the mean time, browse around all the new great stuff in the store!

No, I do not want to talk about the fact that Christmas is a week and half away.  I'm not ready!  Acckkkk!!!  Thankfully I have some time this weekend to get my act together a little, lol.  Oh and of course, I have to make cards for next week as well, but that will be nice after a day of running around like a chicken with my head cut off, lol.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Love Birds

Hello and Welcome to the Wednesday Reminder post that there is a Challenge going on over at All That Scraps.  It's a clean and simple Challenge.  So grab any digi image or stamps available at All that Scraps and join us!  You could win prizes!!!

I don't do very many CAS cards.  So it's a challenge for me not to add one more thing, lol.  Lucky for me these two love birds are stand alones, and are so adorable all by themselves.  I could not leave them suspended in mid air though, so I drew in a tree trunk with my Copic pen.  I LOVE the little heart leaves and the two little love birds remind me of my Hottie and me, lol.

These are from the newly released line and there are more images and dies released this month, so you definitely want to go check them out.  As well as the other Challenge DT cards and projects!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!!!

Elf Boy

Happy Challenge Tuesday!

This weeks Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog is, "Let it Snow."  Show us your winter scenes.  I kinda let my MME winter wonderland paper do it for me, lol.  We have a fabulous sponsor this week and I would like to Thank the Kenny K Crew for giving the design team members some their fabulous images to use for this challenge.   So the prize doubles this week, once for Loves Rubberstamps prize and once for Kenny K images!  Whoo Hoo!!!  I used this super cute Elf boy from Kenny K images.  I colored him with my copics and air brushed around the circle die.  I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the snowflake and added some brads I had in my stash.  I used my fishtail flag stax dienamics for the layer over the red, which was embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder.

Are you ready for the holidays?  I am not!!!  Yikes.  Doesn't it seem like it was just Thanksgiving?  Like I still have some fall images I want to use, lol.   There's more fall paper and designs dancing in my head and bam, it's over and time to start making cards for Valentines, wow.  I must say that I have enjoyed some of this time with my family and the shopping and all the excitement.  But it really does seem to be coming at me quite quickly.

I cannot wait to see your winter scenes!  Remember if there is a company at the store that you want something from, but you do not see what you are looking for, send Laura an email and ask her about it.  She just might be able to get that for you.

Thank You for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Hot Cocoa

Happy Inspirational Sunday to you!

Today I have a card featuring the A La Mode - Hot Cocoa.  I love these spindly legs.  I so wish I had them, mine are more like that mug she is carrying, lol.  I love the sketch this week over at MFT's Sketch Challenge, it is just perfect for her.  I used MME - Winter Wonderland 6X6 papers.  I had seen one of the MFT's designers use striped paper for the leggings on a card months ago and remembered that I loved it, so I wanted to try it out.  Dontcha hate it when you can't remember who it was?  But anyway, I love the leggings too, lol.  I used a Martha Stewart Punch to make the cocoa cup and the doily behind it.  And my Fishtail Flag Stax to make the two panels behind the main image.  I also heat set liquid applique for the cocoa on the little punched mug.

No you are not seeing things, I did poke an extra hole in the main panel, lol.  But the brads were not even and so I just left it there, lol.  I have found sometimes the cover up looks worse than the actual mistake, so in this case, it's just an extra hole, lol.  I did not want to start over.  What do you do when you make a mistake like this?

Please head on over to the Sensational Sunday post and see what my fellow DT members have made.  If you leave a comment, you could win a prize!!!  You might also want to take a peek at the new things Laura has added to the store.  Fun stuff!!!  And there is still time to play in our challenge this week, Anything Goes!  You could also win prizes for playing!!!  AWESOME!!!

Whatever you do on your Sunday, take a moment or two to just take it all in.  Enjoy a moment or two.  You will not have this day back again.  I'm trying to remind myself to do this every day.  At work, shopping for the holidays, making cards for a D.T., etc.  Just trying to stop and enjoy the journey.  And letting go of little mistakes like extra poked holes. lol.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments.

Luka's Pressie

Happy Holly-Day Friday!

What are your plans this weekend?  I am working this weekend :(
If you're looking for a good challenge to create something fabulous, come join us this week over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - Anything Goes!  How easy is that?  And there are prizes to be won of course.

Today I am using the card sketch from It Seems a Little Sketchy.  Love that name!

I have used the Very cute Christmas Present Luka and colored him up with my Copic Markers.  In hind site, I guess I should have made that shirt something other than green, lol.  I used two different set of greens for the shirt and the pressie but they still kinda blended in together.  lol.  I love this fabulous paper, BoBunny Mistletoe collection.  Those tree's remind me of whoville, lol.

I am going to have a couple little ones here for Christmas and I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!  I love watching them open their presents and the excitement and the squeals are so fun.  So there will be paper flying and boxes opening and parts to put together and games to be played and I won't be able to walk through the living room when they are done, lol.  And that will only take a few minutes, lol.

Do you ever get that day after Christmas let down?  When all the planning and all the excitement and anticipation are over?  You are just kind of left humming.  I experienced this for years with my older two, but it was all over with with my third.  His birthday is the day after Christmas!  And yes, we party!!!  So down comes the Christmas stuff from the dining area and kitchen and up goes a birthday banner and out comes the balloons.   And no, there is not let down on the 27th, lol, just plain ol' fashion exhaustion! lol.

So that is what I am preparing for and getting ready for this month.  Double Celebrations, Double excitement, Double gift buying, Double planning, lol.

Hope you have a great weekend and will join us over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge and also, take a look at the NEW stuff in the store, and don't forget to comment on the Sunday inspiration post for a chance to win a prize!!!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

Goodnight Moon

Happy Wednesday!!!!

The new Challenge over at All That Scraps is "Clean and Simple" AKA CAS.  I am not really sure what clean and simple means.  I went investigating over at SplitCoastStampers.  They say it's not a lot of layers, keeping white space, uncluttered.  Hmmmm.  When I saw the new PJ Trevor and Moon stamps, I was over the moon in love and new I wanted to do a one layer card with PJ Trevor sitting on the moon.  I cut the stars away from the moon so I could use them anywhere.  So I am hoping this is a CAS card, lol.

Little PJ Trevor is sitting on the Moon waiting for the Cow to Jump over so he can get a better look.  I remember when my little ones were little and wearing all in one PJ's.  I remember sitting up at night, so sleepy myself, waiting for them to get tired enough to fall asleep and them looking pretty much like PJ Trevor here.  Wide eyed and sitting up, saying, "I not tired."  lol.   My youngest one loved the book, "Good Night Moon".  And this really reminds me of that book and those memories a lot.  So I will be using PJ Trevor in some of my much needed scrap booking as well.

I stamped PJ Trevor on this card layer and then stamped him again on a sticky note.  I cut out the sticky note and placed it over the card layer image.  Then I stamped the moon and then I stamped the stars.  I took off the sticky note and colored the images with my Copic Markers.  Once I was done, I decided to get out my airbrush and so I replaced the sticky note Trevor over the card layer Trevor and airbrushed with a BG, so it didn't matter if it got into the moon or not.  I added some rhinestones for background stars.

I cannot wait to see every one's version of CAS and hopefully I can KopyKat some ideas from you for next week! lol.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!

Snowman Hugs

It's snow-bodies business how much I love my snowman!  lol.  I love this cute image.  Whatever color you use or dp, it's gonna just be cute because it is so darn adorable.  This is for the Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge and this week it's every bodies favorite - Anything Goes!  Whoo Hoo!!!!  I cannot wait to see your fabulous creations and I promise I will stop by and see each and everyone of them.  So link up for a chance to win some fabulous prizes.  This week we are also sponsored by Shape EZ and I would like to take this moment to let them know that I really ruined my snowman shaped card I was working on for today, but as soon as I get some time, I will try it again, lol.

So this cute Pure Innocent stamp is called Merry Kissmas.  If you do not see the item you are looking for in the store, but you see the brand name, feel free to email Laura and ask her for the product you are looking for.  That is how we met and it's been mutual admiration from that point on, lol.  Have you seen Laura's blog?  Check out the Loves Rubberstamps Blog and look for the Sunday Inspirational post, if you leave a comment and follow directions, you could win a prize!  While you are at it, head on over to the Loves Rubberstamps Store, where a TON of new stamps and products have been added.  I love it!  It's like a one stop shop for me.  Here are some of the products I used on this card today.
