White on White and Anything Goes

I made this for the Kraftin Kimmie Challenge 135, White on White.  I also am submitting to the All That Scraps DT Challenge, anything goes.   Anytime I am open to use a sketch, I am using a My Favorite Things Sketch from last year that I did not get to.  So this is MFTWSC49.  I have 29 more sketches to go to make up for last year, lol. 

White on White is an interesting Challenge.  I'm not sure I pulled it off here, but I was going for different textures in the background and keeping the image panel as the focal point.  Any other embellishments just looked too "busy" on this, so I went for plain and simple. 

I love this Kraftin Kimmie image, Dandy Lion.  I colored some S.U. pearls for the corners with my Copic R85.  After I colored the image, I used Marvy Liquid Applique and heat embossed it to fluff it up.  Also, after coloring, I sponged around the image with Memento Summer Sky and New Sprout.  Copics used: E0000, E000, E00, E21, E93, R85, R83, R81, B21, BG10, G24, G21, G20, Y00, Y15, Y11, YR24.  I used my airbrush for the clouds and grass.  I also used three different embossing folders: S.U. textured stripes, Darice heart coeur, and Provo Craft swiss dots.

I made this for this weeks MFT's sketch challenge.  I had to color and cut fast to get this uploaded tonight.  Darn that full time job, takes all my scrappy time, lol.

Surf's Up

This is the first card I've made since that Copic Certification class.  lol.   I told you, I am working on it, lol.  One thing at a time.  I made this for the Sparkle Creations Challenge, (SCRSC82) and for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, (SSSC162).

Certifably Certified

Guess where I've been this week?  And let me tell you, with working a few days before and working a few days after....I'm wiped out.  But it was so AWESOME!  And I have a few tools under my belt now.  Not all of them yet, but a few more than when I went with.  I would recommend Copic Certification to anyone who is "stuck" at level and knows there is more.  If you find yourself doing the same things over and over and knowing there is more, but not finding it on U-tube, sign yourself up, you will not be sorry.  And now I am Certifiably Certified, lol.  

I  have to be honest.  After the class I wondered if I would ever be able to color again.  You know, they are so good and so experienced.  After I thought about it, I came to the conclusion that I would try to add one or two things here and there and work my way up to it.  And I am so glad that I went and can now challenge myself to get where I want to be.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, DT Call, LRSBC6

I have been thinking and thinking and thinking about what I would do with this sketch.  Then it came to me......my little knome set by There She Goes.  The color inspiration came from Loves Rubber Stamps, where the challenge this week is red, white, and blue.  So I am entering in the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge DT call, and I saw some awesome cards entered over there, so check it out.
