From My Barn

Hi Everyone,

It's time for a New Challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps, this week is all about Something Country ( farm animals, jam or jelly, insects, farm style image).  I knew the minute I saw this what I wanted to make, lol.   I love this cute fat cow, cracks me up.  I colored him with my Copics and sponged around with memento tangelo and cantaloupe.  I added some grass with my Copic Markers and Viola.  I love this cute paper called Hartland Farm by American Crafts.  Not sure where I got this one, lol, maybe Hobby Lobby?  I also used one of the sentiments that comes with the set and shortened the Sentiment flag die cut with my big shot.  The one behind the cow is the actual size.

I hope everyone is having a great week and that you have a chance to get inky with us!  Laura updated her Blog on Sunday and her Grandmother continues go back and forth and is doing poorly.  So if you are waiting on an order or an email, it will come or be answered as soon as she can.  Just when she thinks she might be able to catch up again, off to the hospital they go.  And it's a very emotional time as well, so please be patient.

Thanks for checking in,

Holly

Update: Here is a message from Laura -

Hi Stampers -

I have come to the hard decision to TEMPORARILY shut down our store and our blogs for the time being.

As I have posted many times on our store page, our blogs and our facebook page - I am the primary care giver for my Grandma. She is in failing health and has been in and out of the hospital numerous times since Feb. 2nd. She was hospitalized in ICU again early last week and has been hospitalized since. She has expressed that she is getting very tired of fighting this battle with her health. It is a terminal disease and she is getting frustrated of trying really hard to get better and get home, only to find herself extremely sick and back in the hospital a few short weeks later. Our family is facing some very tough decisions coming up as Grandma tries to decide if she wants to come home under hospice care or continue trying to fight her illness.

I have been pretty behind with shipping since this started in February. I just start to get caught up and something happens with Grandma and puts me right back behind. Our customer service during this time has been awful and for that I sincerely apologize. I have come to realize that right now I can not keep trying to keep everything going with Grandma's situation changing day by day. I can't even tell you the last time I have been able to respond to emails. The little time I have been able to be at home and focus on the store, I am focusing purely on shipping orders out.

I do not want to have anymore orders coming in until we can get caught up with the ones that we have already. It is not fair to our customers waiting for orders and it is not fair to our new customers.

I will be working on getting all pending orders shipped or refunds issued as quickly as I can. I know we have pushed the patience button with some of you who have been waiting awhile for your orders and with being so far behind in emails and for that I am extremely sorry. We didn't start this business to provide lousy customer service or to try and take advantage of anyone. So I will be re-opening the store once things settle down for us here and when we are able to provide the customer service that our customers deserve and that we have always strived to provide.

I am still working on our winner emails and prize codes as well. Any of you still waiting WILL get your prize codes. For the codes for our store they will be issued to be used when the store re-opens, if you haven't got to use your code yet and it will expire during the time our store is temporarily closed - please send me an email and I will bet the expiration changed for you so you can use it when we re-open.
