Gobble!

Happy Sensational Sunday!  Did you know that if you head on over to the Loves Rubberstamps Blog and leave a Comment on the Sensational Sunday post you could win some blog candy?  Yeah, just for commenting!  Super easy.  Have you seen the newest, latest and greatest stamps and markers Laura has added to her store?  Go check them out while you are at it!

Today I have a new Pure Innocents stamp to show off just in time for Thanksgiving and I am keeping with the Gobble til you Wobble Challenge this week, lol.  But if it's too late for a Thanksgiving card and you want to play along, it can be any "Thank You" card.  So there is still a wee bit of time left to play in our Challenge.

Isn't she the cutest thing?  I'm planning on using her for Christmas too, lol.  And for some scrap pages I have in my head that I might get to in the next couple years, lol.   I keep talking about these scrap pages, I may eventually talk myself into doing them, lol.  It's like all those diet books I have, I should be a thin woman just by association, right? lol.   And have years and years of scrapbook pages done just by talking about them, lol.

I love these papers by Authentique, the patterns and colors are so great for so many different styles and designs.  This weeks sketch was a bit hard for me to wrap my head around.  But as I worked on one thing and then the other, it came together very easily.  I love using dies and having them in my stash.  You never know when you are going to need just the perfect die, lol.  I am so excited that not only is Laura getting more and more dies listed in the store, she also is planning on getting EVEN MORE!!!  Whooo Hooo.  I colored up my PI with my Copic Markers.

As I was making this card, I was wondering how other people make their cards.  Do you already have it all in your head and then go for it?  I usually have to find a good sketch or have some idea of a pattern I am going to use in my mind.  Then I pick the stamp I want to use.  I usually have a "few" of them in the must use pile, lol.  Then I pick out my paper by the stamp or the Challenge, and then I just start coloring and go from there.  Sometimes it's quite a bit different than whta I had in mind, lol.  But the card kinda just designs itself.

I used the following on this card:
MFT PI turkey time
Authentique Thankful collection

MFT Bon appetit die-namic
MFT Scallop Die-namic
MFT Rounded banner stax
MFT Die-namic sentiment strips
Circle Dies
Black Memento
Tim Holtz ink sponged.

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments!  Don't forget to check out what my fellow Design Team Members have made over on the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog and don't forget to comment, you could win!

Hi Holly! Really cute Thanksgiving card and super sweet image. I think it would work for Christmas too. Sometimes I start with the decorative paper when making a card. Mostly, I just look at the stamp and that sparks my inspiration. And, then I start pulling in elements.

Thanks for stopping by to say hi and check out my owl Thanksgiving card. The fence is indeed punched from Velum.

What a cute image and I love the little cooking mitt. It's an adorable card for Thanksgiving.

Oh, on occasion, I have a sketch in mind but mostly I go to the craft table, find a stamp I want to use, and things just happen. LOL

Beautiful - great take on the sketch. I like to start out with a sketch before I get going. But sometimes I have an idea too.

So sweet! I love the little oven mitt die! I am a planner... I pick the image, the papers, and usually a sketch, before I can even start the card! I'm a very SLOW card maker! :)

This is so super cute! I love that you added the little oven mitt! This turned out so cute and I am excited to see a Christmas version!! That is a genius idea!

For me - I have sort of an idea about what type of project I want to do, and an image in mind. Then I have to find a sketch to use because I am too lame to come up with my own most of the time. Then once I have the sketch I figure out my papers, and then it all just kind of clicks together after that.

It is really only after I figure my sketch that I can put it together in my brain. And I usually change my mind about at least one thing about 5 times while I am making it... so you will hear... OHHH I should do that... OHHH I should do that instead... over and over if you craft with me - LOL!
