I begged Laura to get these cute Prima Mixed Media Dolls in the store and then I snatched up a half dozen of them. She sent me of the Doll Tags with a note, "you are going to need these!" OMGosh she was so right! These things are huge! lol. This one is 9 inches long and a little over 3 inches wide. So they stayed in the box for a while and this past weekend I decided since I had the weekend off and I had seen some really cute designs in blogland using them, that I would ink one up. I had to use the largest Acrylic that S.U. had in a set I bought and then lay it sideways, lol. But it inked up perfect. After I colored her skin and chose the paper I was going to use, I started having too much fun. As I was designing the tag, I began thinking of other ways I would use the others. Wouldn't you know it, but I made another one with a different doll right afterwards, lol. I LOVE them and they are so much easier to use than I originally thought. It's like playing paper dolls all over again. It's like playing my own project runway, lol. I inked up the skirt again and cut out three of the pleats, colored the original with one of my Copics for shading and then popped up with bottom of the pleat with dimensionals and put a dab of glue on the top of the pleat so that only the bottoms were popped up, (I saw Lisa do this.)
I have some 12 by 12 paper, but it's just as easy to use my 6X6 paper and use a different sheet for half. I have tons and tons of ribbon and lace for the middle, lol. So after running away from them after I saw them, now I have to stop using them! lol. At least for now. Let me know what you think! My Son was wondering why I didn't draw a face on her, lol. I know these were made for mixed media, but I like using them conventionally. With this one, I used some of my stashed Vintage Vogue and finally broke into the stickers that I bought to go with them. LOVE IT!
This tag is going to my Grandson's new teacher. Speaking of my Grandson, Reed, guess who is learning to read? Despite all the protest he puts up before we get started, we have prevailed and now even he is proud of the reading he can do. He told me, "Grandma, I memorized this story!" But I pointed out that he couldn't have memorized too much if he was still having trouble with a couple of the words. I explained to him that just because you remember what a word is, doesn't mean you are not reading, it means you are reading! And we plan to do this EVERYDAY!
My son, Jeep, is learning the violin and he has been practising every day. He is starting to figure out how to get the notes right and while most of it is screech, screech, screech, there are a few beautiful notes in between, lol.
Be sure to take a look at the New Items!
I hope you will join us in welcoming our new design team members and saying good-bye to some seriously talented ones. Check out our Sunday Blog Hop!

Beautiful Holly! And ambitious! Not sure I'd have the guts to tackle an image that large! Really admire your courage...and it paid off in a gorgeous tag!
This is so cool! Love the doll, the great tag, and all the details. I am amazed at the size - that is big but it came out wonderful. Perfect tag for a teacher. You are so creative. I have missed your creations. Hugz!

Ooh love the stamp and your tag is very pretty :o) Hugs, Lisa x
Wow, that is a big stamp! I would not have known, just judging from the picture. The tag is very lovely, and it must be a big 'un!
I didn't know you are a grandma, bless your heart. That's so cute that Reed is learning to read, and kudos to Jeep for learning violin. My 11 YO daughter is going into her third year playing viola, which is similar to violin. I do love to hear her practice (which, unfortunately, isn't too often -- for shame!!).
WOW WOW WOW WOW! Totally LOVE this Holly! You ROCKED the Prima Dolls!
Oh wow, your tag looks amazing Holly. I've been seeing these dolls everywhere and everyone is finding such fun and different things to do with them. I really like the little sprinkling of embellies across the top of the tag. Super cute! Hugs!
Fabulous tag and design. Thanks for visiting and leaving the sweet luv.
