I have been thinking and thinking and thinking about what I would do with this sketch. Then it came to me......my little knome set by There She Goes. The color inspiration came from Loves Rubber Stamps, where the challenge this week is red, white, and blue. So I am entering in the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge DT call, and I saw some awesome cards entered over there, so check it out.
Hate to blog and run but I have to get ready for my Copic Classes now.....yeah!

Cowabunga Dude! MFTWSC77, LRSBC5
Guess what came in the mail today? My VIP package from My Favorite Things!!!! Whooo Hoooo. And just in time for me to make this weeks card for the sketch challenge. I am so in Love with these cute P.I. images. I used Shoreline by American Craft's paper, which I had waiting for these cute stamps to come in. S.U. Orange, PTI Sunrise, and white. I airbrushed the strip of paper for the wave as well as the back ground for the surfer dude. I used Loves Rubber Stamps Pinterest photo as my inspiration of colors. And here is the final result.....
The little drop of water is actually a wing die from the MFT die-namic Contempo Cage, which I swear I will use on of these days, lol. I was digging and searching for some beachy and thought a drop coming out of a wave was pretty good. I used the MFT's wave die-namic as well. And I paper pierced the surf board with another sheet of paper from the Shoreline paper 6X6 pack. Oh and I love the new sentiment strips die-namics that were part of the VIP package, I stamped the cowabunga on one of them.
Lasty, I added some brads and I have to tell you, I am the worlds worst at thinking about something after I have already glued it down, lol. So ever so carefully and gently, I pulled back the top, used my trusty Tim Holtz paper piercer and then struggled with these big ol' brads from my stash, (but probably from one of the basic grey lines.) I had to finally get out my Crop-O-Dial to punch some holes big enough to fit these brads. I love all my toys! They help me out so much. I will need to add some Scor-Tape to keep it down now, but that's okay, I like it better with the brads.
Copic List: BG000, BG02, BG07, BG06, N6, N5, N4, N3, E31, E33, Y8, Y6, Y4, E00, E000, E0000, E21, E93.
Thanks so much for looking and for your wonderful comments.

Aloha! MFTGUEST0712, LRSBC5
Well this picture is teeny tiny, lol. It's the Guest Design sketch from MFT's. I saw this and had a few ideas, so I think I will be entering more than once this time, lol.
This is the Photo Inspiration from Loves Rubberstamps Challenge this week, and since I won last weeks Challenge, I wanted to be sure to make a card using this picture and these colors as soon as I could. Any ol' excuse I have to make a card will do, lol. I can't possibly do housework, I HAVE to make a card. lol.
So with the sketch and the inspirational picture I came up with this.
I love this new Aloha Pure Innocence gal from MFT's. I also used the branch die from the branch and leaf die-namic, (MFT) as well as the new leaf die-namics (MFT's) .
I colored the image with my copics: E21, E000, E0000, E00, E37, E35, E33, E31, YOO, R22, R21, R20, YG21 and outlined her BG10. Then I fussy cut her out and glued her down to my Echo Park, Paradise Beach paper. I LOVE this paper! I used some card stock from Stampin' Up and added some brads to the corners.
Winning a guest design team spot for a month would be a dream come true. I'll keep my fingers crossed and get busy on the next card, lol.
I did get a text yesterday......but it's a secret for next month.....guess you will just have to follow along with me to find out what the secret is.....lol.
Thanks for Looking and for your wonderful Comments.

The Sign of Love
It's Challenge time over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. I love this newish image I got from Loves Rubber Stamps recently. I love that she is signing "I Love You." So great! And she is fun to color up. I think I wish that I had chosen a teal dress with an Orange hat now, lol. I airbrushed a faint blue behind her and wanted to see what N6 copic looked like airbrushed......OMG, I love it, looks like pavement! So now I have WAY too many ideas running through my head about that! I used some Studio Calico (American Crafts) designer paper called HeyDay. Love these colors!!!! I colored her up with my Copic markers and decided to used some colored brads for a change. This was a fun sketch. Instead of using the tag for my sentiment, I decided a simple "love" would be good.
Okay, I am off to watch some reruns of Criminal Minds with Joe. We recently discovered that we really like this show, so now we have 6 seasons to catch up on. lol. We do that though. We just did that last year with Dexter, so now it's Criminal Minds. I am not sure why serial killers fascinate both of us, and the investigation behind it all keeps my wheels turning in my mind. The downside is that we are both a little paranoid now, lol. My son had to come in to do a Science Project for his college class, and Joe and I were at work. When we came home, there was a package of salt on the counter, his younger brother found some pink balloons and we found some new measuring kitchen tools on the drain. We didn't think much about it, but we did mention the pink balloons. That night, Joe and I went into our room after watching like 2 criminal minds back to back and we found a "pink balloon" on the other side of our bed.....insert weird music......lol. Okay, so I actually had to verify with my son that he did use the pink balloons and that they were not strategically placed there by some whack job. lol. And then I told him why and we all laughed again.

Happy Father's Day, MFTWSC76
Do not disturb this mouse! That is the name of this MFT's mouse, isn't that cute? Love this. So reminded me of Joe and so I had to get this one to make him a card with, lol. I used this weeks, MFT's sketch, and also made this for The Loves Rubber Stamps Challenge to make a masculine card. I used Gina K designs casual friday paper and colored with copics. I airbrushed the background.
Thanks for looking, hope everyone has a great Father's Day.

Surfin USA
I have that song in my mind, Surfin' USA, lol. I made this for the Sparkle Creation Sketch Challenge, as well as for The Loves Rubber Stamps Challenge to make a masculine card. This image is a Sparkle Creation stamp called Surfing Oliver, he is so darn cute and was fun to color up. The paper is from Gina K designs call Pool Side. I used my copic markers and airbrushed the background.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day, Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there and single parent Mom's who have to be the Dad too. I used to buy myself a box of chocolates every Father's Day when I was a single parent, lol.

Under Da Sea
This weeks Kraftin Kimmie Challenge is "Under the Sea". I love these little mermaids. I have had them in my stash for a while and have not inked them up for a while. So I was glad to have an excuse to ink her up again. Of course, I do not remember her name, lol. But you can find them pretty easily here.
This is another one layer card, because playing with my airbrush makes me happy. I am not sure what extras comes with what mermaid stamps, but I added some bubbles, coral and crab. Then I masked all the images and airbrushed the sea and the sand. Pulled off the masks and colored up the images. I used crystal effects on the bubbles and some stickles (I hardly ever use but love it every time I see it used). And that's it. Copic colors: BG15, BG13, E33, E31, E49, E35, YR2, YR4, Y00, YR07, E00, E000, E0000, E93, E21, BG10, BG11, B00, R05, R01, R08, R02, R29.
Speaking of Copics, I have reservations to take the Copic Standard and Advanced class later this month! I'm so excited and hope to learn all kinds of new tricks.

Happy Anniversary Joe (MFTWSC75), (LRSBC3)
Happy Anniversary to me and Joe on Friday. I HAD to make this card today! lol. Nothing like waiting til the last minute, but the second I saw this weeks sketch challenge on MFT's I knew exactly what I was going to do. Also, Loves Rubber Stamps Challenge is anything goes. I read on her blog she is also going to start carrying MFT's in her on-line store. So I knew this would be a great card to make for her challenges and I look forward to her next challenge. And just so you know, after she featured my card on her blog, I was emailing her back and forth and mentioned that I would love some other Flourishes (company) stamps and she ordered those for me, so I think this might be a great start to a very expensive relationship, lol.
Now there is still all kinds of Valentines paper sitting on my table, but I thought this Echo Park Sweet Day paper was appropriate. The clouds represent the storms we have passed, the words in the clouds are the times we talked it through, and the hot air balloons represent Joe, lol, I mean the good times we have had and the cool stuff that we have seen. Now mind you, I think hot air balloons are super cool, but I would not want to get in the thing and go for a ride. Just not me. Like my feet on the ground. lol. The inside of the card is stamped with MFT's stamp set "about Anniversaries". It says, "It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life." lol.
I air brushed the sky and the ground and added some grass. I paper pierced with some other patterns I found in this 6X6 pad. I added some pearls I found in my stash. I also used one of the MFT's tabs for my sentiment. This stamp set by MFT's is called, PI Better together little lamb. Copics: C2, C1, C0, C00, R11, E12, YG11, R24, R27, YG13, BG72.
Oh and just so you know, Joe and I have been married for TEN years! When we first got married, my hobby was working. I just worked and worked and worked some more. One of those career things. My children were already teenagers and they just wanted to do their own thing and that was sometimes expensive, lol. Joe encouraged me to buy pretty paper I saw, took me down to sign up for a scrap booking 101 class and encouraged me to start getting the things I needed for scrap booking. So sweet! And I did scrapbook a few pages ...... until I discovered stamping and card making. lol. But I do plan to get back into some scrap booking very soon. But what a guy huh? Of course now he may be sorry he did that, lol.

I Heart Sketches Challenge
I was so glad to find this sketch, (SFYTT), and see that they are sponsored by Lil' Inker Designs. I won this set of Lil' Inkers on their blog hop and had it in my stack of things to use. I have a copic marker keeper, one of those plastic box thingies with a lid, and unfortunately this is the place where all my new stamps are placed. lol. I take this copic keeper box with me when I scrap, but when I get home, all the copics get put away in another storage container that I like to call the tower of power, lol. But anyway, I love these little bunnies and was so excited to win them, that I had them in this "priority" box, lol. This set is called, Funny Bunnies.
Stamps: Lil Inkers Funny Bunnies
Paper: S.U. card stock, PTI white, Bazzill Vintage Marketplace
Copic Markers: C0, C00, G20, G24, G21, B91, RV00, RV02, RV04, Y13
MISC: Air Compressor, EK success flower punch, Friskar hole puncher, MME twine.

Every Breath
Every breath is a gift. And purple skies remains a mystery. I just spent 10 minutes trying to fine tune the color of the sky. Not working in my photo fixer in Picasa. These really are purple skies that match the light purple in the background paper, lol. Oh well, you know, her hair looks better in this one. lol. I made this today for a friend who is just starting chemotherapy for Breast Cancer. I think she is going to like it. I have been thinking about airbrushing different skies and thinking of some color combinations, and then I saw Barbara's card and knew I had to use the rhinestones in the sky as well. Please do click on Barbara's link and check out the card I am talking about, it is so adorable! I love going through her blog and seeing one amazing card after another.
I just love this image and a couple more similar ones I ordered from Unity Stamps during their sale. Phyllis Harris is the artist and I love these little hair blowing in the wind girls. I plan on using them quite a bit, so I hope you love them as much as I do.
Stamps: Unity Stamps - Phyllis Harris
Paper: Orchid Opulence - retired S.U. light purple???? S.U. and PTI white.
Designer paper: Basic Grey Wisteria - so proud of myself for taking it out of the hoard pile.
Misc: Jelly Roll white for the dandelion, Sheer ribbon, SU rhinestones, Airbrush
Copics: E11, E00, E000, E0000, E19, E15, E13, E17, E01, YG11, YG13, YG01, YG3, BV02, BV34, BV01, BV00, Y13, YR15.

Beach Babe
I made this for the All That Scraps Inspirational Challenge. Love these colors! I picked up their Sugar Plums Beach Kit that was released last month. I love all the cute images and how the design team used them. I had all these visions in my mind. lol. Just not enough time. But this is very similar to what I had envisioned.
I have a question though. Is this a one layer card? I mean, even if I have three layers there. The main panel is one layer. I stamped, masked, stamped, masked and stamp and masked again. Then I got out the trusty Airbrush which next to my Copic markers is my new favorite toy. lol. So easy and yet, such an impact, and I feel like I can achieve that look that I want much easier than when I was sponging. Not that I will not sponge, but I love the airbrush for scenes. I love experimenting with different colors. But I digress, don't I? lol. So anyway. I did not want to add brads or punches, just wanted to leave well enough alone.
I air brushed with E50, E42, BG11, BG02. I colored her bathing suit with RR85, R83, R81. My starfish was colored with YR16, YR15, YR14. Hair E37, E35, E33, E31, E30 (a color combination Delphine uses that I love), My umbrella is colored with YG25, YG23, YG21, and the pole is colored with E27, E25, E23. I dabbed on some additional E42 to the pebbles. My Cloud template came from Bev Rochester's Blog. I used PTI White, SU Poppy, PTI flecked cream (I'm not sure what they call it, lol.)
Anyway, thanks so much for visiting. Please let me know what you think. If you think it is considered a one layer card, if you would have continued to add something. I love your feedback.
Thanks Again,
Holly

Beachy Day MFTWSC74, CTD194
I made this one for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge this week. I also used the color combination from The Color Throwdown Challenge this week. This looked a lot better in my mind, lol. I'm now thinking maybe I should have just cut her out and added her to the scene. hmmmmm. Anyway. I airbrushed the sky, water and the sand. I embossed the water with my tiny bubbles embossing folder. The sun came from a piece of scrap paper I had in my stash. I saw the little border punch from EK success used on another blog and I HAD to HAVE it, lol. It's too cute. Okay, now back to the drawing board. Or at least on the next challenge. lol.
I hope everyone is blogger world is having a great Saturday. It's play date around here today and in between fetching this and that, I was able to make this. They have great fun though, so it's all good. Has anyone been watching, "So you think you can dance?" I love this show. The talent out there is amazing. Our summer shows slow way down, so I have a bit more time to play making cards.
Thanks for looking and your comments.

Thank You
I made this for one of my Sister's friends who sent Jeep her Army Jacket and Hat for Christmas. I am only six months behind on my Thank You's. lol. I am so awful about some things. But I really wanted it to be the right card.
I bought this Saluting Luka a while back just for this card. Love this image. La La Land Crafts inspirational challenge this week is Fairy Tale. An officer and a gentleman? Hey now I know all kinds of women who thought that was right up there with their idea of a fairytale. lol
I also used Jen's deconstructive Sketch no 54. love this sketch!
This is also for this weeks Simon Says Challenge, Anything goes, but their design team is using twine. Wouldn't it be great to be on their design team? They have everything!
Card stock: I used PTI card base for the olive green, S.U. River Rock, S.U. Kraft.
Paper: This is Echo Park's, This and That collection
Copics: B00, B27, B28, C00, C0, C7, C6, C5, C4, N1, N2, N3, E44, E43, E42, E41, E40, E25, E29, E21, E93, E00, E000, E0000, R29, R27, R24, YG99, YG97, YG95, YG93
Stamps: Saluting Luka by La La Crafts
Other: Eyelets from my stash, May Arts dark brown twine, Airbrush.

Last Day of Third Grade
Jeep's last day of the 3rd grade was yesterday. He brought home the final report card, all A's this semester. The teacher dings the grade for playing with your shoes, shoving papers in your desk, drawing all over your work and sprawling out your papers all over the floor. Yeah, Whatever! lol. Joe and I reward good grades heavily. We asked him what he wanted, "super soaker"! So Joe came home from work with the super soaker and then they got to try it out, lol.
Now one of these days, I'm actually going to do scrapbooking and I will use these photo's, but in the meantime I thought I would share this with you all.
Thanks for Looking and your Comments.
