La La Land Workshop

Hi All,

I was lucky enough to attend one of Irina's La La Land Crafts workshops.  She actually came to Bakersfield to one of our local craft stores, Andies.  This is one of like 6 or 7 projects.  I cannot believe I just got the first one finished, lol.  The thing about the workshops is that there are amazing projects and lots of them.  I highly recommend you take pictures, ask a lot of questions and just get all your kits together, which means cutting out a lot of dies.   And don't even think about getting anything completed unless you are a super speedy crafter, which I am not.  I like to take my time with everything, make sure it's well put together and everything is balanced and looks right.  And it took an additional couple hours just to color up the images, lol.  I know, slow, but I do enjoy my time.  Irina had all the images ready for us, but I had to color one little thing on each of them before I could leave with them.  So bring your E0000, because there is no way you are going to color all these images in the last two hours, lol.  Especially if you are like me and just get these two colored in two hours, lol.

Irina does have a a flyer with a picture for reference and all the colors she used listed.  I tried her face colors and mine just came out too dark for my taste, so I did change those, otherwise I did stick to her colors.  Love her hair colors: E02, E08, E17, E18.  She also taught us how she colors the little roses on the dress - free hand.  And while hers are amazing, mine will pass for some nondescript design, lol.  I picked up one of these flourish leaf dies, we used them a lot and I could see myself using them on many different projects.  I resisted the fence die and then had feelings of remorse that I did not pick that up too, lol.  The roses are also one of her dies, as well as the butterfly.  The more intricate the die, the more you have to run it through your cutting machine to get it to cut out completely.

This is Irina's trinket box design and she designed the top and bottom cut, so darn cute!  This is Tea Time Marcy and the Tea Set.  More of these to come as I get them finished up, lol.  I have been working on stuff this weekend for future posts.

GOOD NEWS for Loves Rubberstamps Fans and Customer's, Laura is going to be adding La La Land to her on line store in the near future.  She continues to add things here and there, so keep looking!  If you see a company that carries something you like, but you do not see it in her store, just shoot her an email and ask, chances are she can order that right up for you.

Okay, now I have to go and clean my house a little before getting started on my next project, lol.  I know, such a waste of time, but it HAS to be done now, lol.

Thanks for Looking and for your Wonderful comments.

Holly

It's obvious that you lovingly put together this box, Holly. It's just beautiful, and everything is 'just so'. Love the scene on the lid!
